Grim Protocols - New Weapons - Dev Blog

Hotshot weaponry I would only see as an ability, à la Outcast Engineer.

Start with a Hotshot lasgun, but you then have 3/4 sub talents that change it to a different weapon (So you would end up with 3 weapon). Hotshot wouldn’t have a lot of ammo, but you generate it without needing to have Survivalist or picking ammo.

Sub Nodes:
HS Laspistol: Change it to a Laspistol
→ better close range, and crit chance, but less damage overall

HS Volleygun
→ better fire rate, but bigger spread

HS Longlas
→ Better long range damage

Does the Relic Blade come with a venting mechanic?

Or is it intended to be a bursty weapon with a (lengthy? brief?) cooldown period?

Yeah, now I see the spelling mistake! Sorry and thanks - should have not trusted abominable inteligence…

I’m keeping the misguided response though…

ummm… yeah… so?

Any type of armoured or unarmoured enemies that are not Ogryn or Nurgle blessed should have been screwed.

I swear, I’ve had better meme for Anakin stare in 40k, but can’t find it…

The gun in the visual shows casings being expelled, so its not a Las Gun. It would be considered a Stubber, just a step below Heavy Stubber, yet it still shoots high caliber belt fed rounds. If its not a Stubber than it is some pattern of heavy autogun (i.e. Urdesh Minor U90 Pattern)

I am so Excited with the new Swords and the new Heavy Stubber for Ogryn! Thank you!

Force Greatsword: :heart::eyes::eye::lips::eye::eyes::heart:

Relic Blade: :metal:t2::zap::dagger::zap::heart_eyes:

Heavy Stubber: pop-pop brrrrrr

does that mean thunder hammers can be used and activated while sprinting soon? It’s really quite curious why we’re forced to stand still when trying to power up a heavy hit.

I shall wait for grenade launchers, missile launchers, autocannons, mortars, heavy bolters, meltaguns and flamers for veteran with bated breath.

But really, the new melee weapons look interesting, the 2H powered sword sounds like it’s an iteration of the Bretonnian Longsword and finally a telekine blade of sorts from the 2H force sword.

Not even a rework or variant for the 1h power sword is a bit disappointing.

It’s evolving: next week™ has evolved into next year™!

With a new weapon, you never know until you’re in the thick of things with it in your hands, but they do appear to efficiently deliver the Emperor’s Mercy.

That’s a good idea. I’m comfortable with powering up right before I hit the charge, but this would let me react quicker and attack targets that are a little farther away. Nothing compares to the feeling though of hitting that power up and just waiting for the mutant to reach you. It always gives me a little smile.

This is a message from my Ogryn, Fifty-Stone (spelling corrected): “Every mission I see broken tank. Why so many broken tank? Was thinking though, engine on tank bad but guns still good! Give guns to Ogryn. Simple.”

Repeating myself from the Discord, I find so funny(In a sad way) how it was left implied we were gonna get an actual reason, or maybe a tease for later.

But no, they really went for all purposes “Kek, lmao even”

With the obesefish update cadence, I expect a third shovel by May.

First, you can adapt any weapons for ogryns… just need some adjustments.
Second, there is power fist, google in help, it can be adapted for them too, even if that is rare weapon.

The reason was meant to be more of this:

But I promise we’ve heard the Veterans feel left out. There will be more next year. :pray:

we should get one as backpack

it’s mostly really only annoying vs monstrosities. Being able to actually move while winding up a heavy would make things feel a lot more fluid in general, but particularly vs monsters.
