I can understand “bullet drop” from trying to shoot at something too far away, but grenades?
Far too often now I’ve experienced seeing a big group of enemies, try to either soften them early or help team mates, throw my grenade and… Nothing.
Sometimes I’ll get a visual effect, but I can see the enemies did not care as they weren’t staggered, and I don’t see any indications that they were injured.
This has happened with both Ogryn’s Frag Grenade and Zealot’s Immolation Grenade. I can only presume it happens to all my grenades in the right situation.
It doesn’t matter if it is a big cluster of enemies on a distant staircase, or if I’m just trying to help my team mates that I can see are being overwhelmed in the same room. I throw my grenade at a long range and nothing happens.
I’ve tried testing this in Psykhanium, but it works as intended there.
So far the missions where I know this has happened has been

My allies were outside the last passage door that leads to the redesigned area, where you fight your way through before dropping down to start the Smelter sequences, I see they are surrounded, I’m on the opposite end and I throw my Ogryn Frag Grenade, but nothing happened. So I had to charge in to help instead. - Ascension Riser 31
The area were you have a jumble of trains, and a big staircase leading up to where you’ll eventually drop down to a point of no return
I saw a big cluster of enemies in the staircase, figured since we have an extra grenade, I’ll get some free kills. Throw the grenade, explosion happens and none of enemies showed any reaction other than aggroing onto us.

Steps to Reproduce (Required):
- Start mission
- Enemies appear
- Throw grenade at long range towards them
- Nothing happened
- Realise that you spent a grenade and got zero results from it
