Getting significantly better performance in offline games than online ones

Issue Description (Required):

If I use the solo play mod to play an auric maelstrom mission i get better performance (60+) than if i play online on something like uprising (~50), and in havoc i get about 40fps average with dips down to 30 if there’s a big horde. also in the mourningstar i sometimes can’t hit 30fps

Attempted Solutions (Optional):

i have all graphics settings on minimum except global illumination, i’ve used multiple different drivers, but these fps issues started with the mortis trials update. i got similar framerate issues when havoc released but they fixed themselves after a week or two.

i also tried disabling all mods but that didn’t make a difference

FPS is unrelated to server latency in this way. I know lag and lag both refer to two different things now, but it’s crazy annoying when troubleshooting anything, wish the terms never got conflated.
You could run the game on LAN with 0 ms and if the netcode is not optimized for performance you’ll have framerate lowering because of other players placing strain on hardware, which is what OPs problem is probably caused by (I get the same thing)
