With their ratio of butchered vs decent cosmetics, I wouldn’t really want to request something I wanted, especially since they’ve already butchered the outfit I was keeping my eye on.
This is my viewpoint as well. There are all sorts of 40k things I’d love to have (uniforms for all of the original famous regiments, 3rd Ed Stormtrooper, more Inquisitorial cosmetics etc) but the general quality has been so low that it would feel like a gamble everytime with the expectation of poor results until surprised otherwise
We’ve already seen what they did to my once-beloved Krieg. Whilst the Elysian sets counter-balance it a bit, its still frustrating that Fatshark/the outsourced cosmetic makers so rarely get it right.
just a question because you know better how it works. How much time does it take for a full rotation? I discovered the game a year ago and there were the skins that I knew first but there are some that never showed up? I think I never missed any since there are always those from the 1-2 weeks before?
It is generally a mystery as to what is coming next. Unfortunately, we cannot say “This set was XX months ago, so we can expect it in X months time.” It is down to what Fatshark will serve up next, which might be something new, something we’ve had before, and/or stuff that’s been recoloured or changed a bit. Some things keep appearing quite often, such as the Witch’s Fingers, other things are weird - like two knife skins that are identical but sold independently of each other, whilst sets that were popular at the time of their release (Enforcers, Elysians) have not reappeared so far.
Frankly, it is an absolute mess from the consumer perspective and its been like this since launch. The sooner they ditch it for a catalogue system the better, but they won’t because FOMO stores are the current monetisation trend in gaming. If I sound scathing at all, I absolutely am.
Ok thx for the explanation .
Cosmetic rotations are in the shop for 6 weeks before cycling out.
It has been on a “bi-weekly” so every two weeks as of rotation scheduling as far as rotation introductions, and due to the “three page” display functions, most cosmetics remain in up to 6 weeks
Its function does aid in the “oh before I get too ‘FOMO’ I can nab it” yet even in line with payroll periods and all that fun, there is a point that most of us over the past two years are at the point that if Fatshark wants to make a higher revenue off of our spectrum of hardcore, casual and whale varieties-- they’d make a more open catalog shop with all the developed cosmetics including revised colorways.
It does not make sense that they have not chosen to open up to these options. This comes along with the matters we see as they have reached the point of so-called “end-game” levels of this creation to the point that if they wanted to have a balance of GW arbitrary development-- along with a higher revenue potential of already created “premium” materials-- they’d have better results that settle their potential.
I’m no elitist not do I have I ever have a complaint in comparison to some things I have read on the forums, yet when I seen other “non-games workshop/non-warhammer” franchises succeed on having a more open catalog of premium items, a whale grade customer-player clientele is willing to spend up to $200 USD (sorry for my murican dumbass:rofl:, currencies exchanges can be translated via Google or amazing internet search engines)
If a company wants revenue and video gamer-hobbyists are willing to be moderate to avid consumers, they need to consider this
@FatsharkStrawHat after Yule/Christmas/Sanguinalia vacation, can we please have more open catalog Commodores Vestures? We also love to see the Veteran get their 2025 glow-up with new weapons and such
Thank you FS Forums for all we discuss as well as a happy new year we all enjoy in our gaming adventures
tysm KD homie love the humor
we ikr
We are all " Resonating " the same thing pretty much over the course of time, I used to be one of those that’s like “How come so many people complaining about this or that?”
As of 2025-- now I see at the level and point of the quality for a game. Developers need to seek more to top itself- and create something that even makes it better. I have loved the new patches/DLC’s etcetera. Yet there is still that missing part such as if more can be seen for the premium cosmetics shop concept. That and the bereft Commissary!
They should open up the catalog. We all know this is a big factor that all other franchises have actually made maximal. They were able to make more out of their revenue, and turned around and made more amazing developments for the franchises they are developing with.
Is it that difficult what we’re requesting? We see that the only checklist aside from hotfixes and “reworks” over the next two years is a Darktide equivalent of Chaos Wastes, fine tuning the Havoc Mode that has been so Karking Emperor Forsaken ASF for both “end-gamers” and daring-delvers-- so that leads to. I also understand how much time it takes to develop things. I know that it takes like up to 6 months, or even a year for things to be developed, yet we also know what’s going on, if internal conflicts averts things from becoming even better.
We also see that we ask something just so that we can say “Hey, it takes off the weight of the situation, brings more to the table” and stays “lore accurate” and closest to true for “Warhammer” IP sake
@Support Fatshark needs to make Commodores Vestures an open catalog of all collections so all the Aquila spenders can buy all the items available and you all get a “win-win” and “whale” players can be happy to run around with their characters cosmetics of choice
I may be jumping the gun, yet the latest autopilot gobo choice of the Commodores Vestures being a repeat of 2024 March 7th-April 18th is pretty sad when requests of Catachan, Commissar great coat like Dukhanes, and Crusader cosmetics have been in higher demand compared to the current “re-offering”
I am guilty of having nabbed the officers leathers coat anyways lol
I am one of several in the clientele requesting an “open catalog” of Commodores Vestures, it wouldn’t overwhelm me to be able to see the entire selection available
Nah, it’s way more grimdark to look like you just fell through a space thrift store. Now if I can just get a pinstripe jacket with shoulder pads and a set of AdMec trucknuts for my gun I’ll be king of Mt. Tacky.
if you familiar with black adder (rowan atkinson best role tbh) then you will like caiphus cain. he basically only self aware grim dark person in a universe of wanna be mary sues. its such a refreshing view on the universe.
18 ghost books? I gotta get to them, Ive only read the first. Good to hear more books on the horizon!
Dans got a bunch of gems! I trash all over Ravenor series but the final book makes it absolutely worth the read!
Aww I liked Ravenor! What didn’t you like about it? Bequin’s prose are a bit funky, and I felt like the 2 books repeat a lot of beats, but ultimately I liked them even though they’re my least favorite of the series.
I just got to a surprise guest in First & Only and just about lost my mind haha
Spoilers and apologies in advance for nit-pick.
My gripe on Ravenor was Gideon himself. I took him as a complete fool blindly stumbling around in the dark.
The plot point with Zael was just tossed out into space and I felt like so much more could of been done with Wystan being a “blank” jester. He shined in the Prologue Playing Patience in Magos.
For all the books and novels Ravenor has written in universe and revered for, especially how he is built up from the Eisenhorn series, his assumed intelligence and foresight and even his psychic powers he is literally blind to every major plot point in front of him and has the “carpet” pulled on him multiple times in the series.
The story revolves more around his agents, the book series would feel better, to me, if it was titled; Kara and/or Carl for the first, Patience and/or Zael for the second and Nayl for the finale. At least they had some development over the series.
The third book is a huge payoff so I would definitely recommend it, the first 2 in the series just bugged me.
Can totally see that! I gave poor Gideon the benefit of the doubt; his blind spot always seemed to be the people closest to him.
Lastly, it just bugged me that Ravenors “love” interest was introduced in the third book, like comon, plant some seeds in the first or second. Dan sometimes write on a whim and the story goes as he goes. I love his books but his endings are always short lived compare to his build ups.
I always die of lolz about the mention of the words “AdMech Truck Nuts”
