Game keeps crashing on DirectX 12. I've tried everything with no success. Please help

Hello Fellow Rat Slayers,

I’ve been playing Vermintide 2 since June 2021 on DirectX 12 & never had a single crash. I play daily including yesterday with zero issues. However, today when I fired up the game, it crashed so I thought it might be a random crash. Happened a 2nd & 3rd time too then kept crashing everytime I’d turn the game on.

I have done the following in an attempt fix the issue:

  • I disabled all mods => CRASH

  • I used DDU to remove the GPU drivers then reinstalled 565.90 => CRASH

  • Deleted DirectX files then reinstalled using Microsoft DirectX installer => CRASH

  • Uninstalled the game, redownloaded & reinstalled => CRASH

The game works fine on DirectX 11 though but crashes as soon as I press PLAY on the launcher if I try to run it on DirectX 12. I literally have NO idea how to fix this. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry for the delayed reply! Are you still experiencing crashes using DX 12?

If so, could you please provide a crash report or console logs from a session the crash occurs so we can take a look?
