Game instability, unsure how to fix

Crash - During Play

Issue Description (Required):

game crashes when ever, and i get a multitude of reasons and spent the last 2 days trying to fix it with no real success.
game crashes mid fight, loading screen, cutscene, in the hub area, in a hub area menu ect
and its not even consitant, sometimes i can get 2-3 games out no issue and other times im crashing 2 times in a single game

the crash logs tell me shaders, something with nvidia or just access

i tried so much plz help

check your windows event history.

if its the dreaded nvlddmkm.sys crash 580.xx drivers tend to be more stable/not affected than the newer ones.

other games give me the leery eyes using a one year old driver on a 5080 but run just the same, so a stable darktide for me is currently more important

im running a 4070 and ive reinstalled clean drivers twice

the only “fix” i havent tried is anything that required bios, because it confuses me

ive verified, moved to SSD, disabled all overlays, turned off discord acceleration (even though it is never open), idk what else i can do

The crash occurred in module ‘nvwgf2umx’. This module is related to Nvidia drivers. If this is a recurring issue please try clean install drivers.

You mentioned clean reinstalling drivers, but if you haven’t already done so - please try uninstalling your current GPU drivers using a dedicated driver removal tool e.g. DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and then to install fresh drivers after this.
