Where to begin… I have been playing this V2 for over a year now. I recently got a new P.C and ever since then I haven’t been able to play the game for more then 20 minutes without my P.C hard powering off and restarting. At first like everyone I thought it was a hardware issue. I checked my temps. Checked my PSU, checked my usages. And all where good nothing was out of the ordinary. I know my P.C is powerful enough to play this game. Eventually I got fed up with the issues and I took to a professional who after 10 years of fixing Computers has never seen anything like this. In his professional options the problem is not from my hardware. In fact he thinks its not even on my side. He thinks that it has to do with compatibility issues with Vermitide 2 files. He thinks I should try to reach out and see if there is some sort of bug which is causing my hardware to reset. He also recommended me to find some way to download source files not through steam to check.

My Specs:
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x
GPU: 3060 MSI Trio
Motherboard: Asus B550-F
PSU: RM750 Gold Certified Corsair

PS: As one can see my hardware is easily good enough to run this game at max graphics. My temps never get above 50. My PSU easily has enough juice to run this game. I am not sure what else to do.

This is a common issue we’re seeing with the Ryzen CPUs and 570/550 series motherboards. Please see “Update, April 2021: Got a Ryzen CPU?” in the article linked below:

[PC] How to Resolve PC Crashes, Loss of Responsiveness or Blue Screens (BSOD)

Can confirm this is still an issue even after following all the steps provided. It worked fine for about two days after updating my graphic’s drivers, but now, I can play for about 5 to 10-ish minutes before my GPU just gives up and I am staring at a blank screen.
I could run the game completely fine on max settings and stable fps before CW-update, so it cannot be something wrong with my rig. I did check temperatures and my GPU IS ramping up heat quite substantially, but again, this was not an issue before. Before CW-update, the fans on my GPU didn’t even go beyond maybe 30% speed, but now, as soon as I start up the game, the fans ramp up to 100% speed. This can’t be natural and I am seriously at a loss as to what to do. I mean, I have around 3k hours in the game, I had my fun with it, but I’d like to stick around for a while longer
