Previously, I had been able to play the closed beta without too many issues (lag, disconnects, etc. - the usual). Now, recently, the game has been crashing without fail. The game goes to black, monitor disconnects, game crashes (Several times now). This has happened during a load screen, on the ship after just loading in, and once during the singular match I was able to get into - which actually disconnected me first, and then did this new typical crash. Aside from crashing the game, it has caused my entire PC to shutdown TWICE.
I had thought, initially, that it was perhaps overheating, or a power issue, but I doubt that could be the case, also considering the game will be running for two minutes and it has happened. My PSU is also more than what is needed. Aside from that, no other game has these issues. None. At this rate I am just going to have to submit this game for a refund, as it is not playable anymore. For context, prior to very recently, in the pre-order beta alone, I have 44 hours played, with one level 30 and another at level 16, maybe 17 - I was once able to play it.
Please provide any darktide launcher and console logs for when the crashes occur. Also look in the event viewer as usually when the OS crashes it will generate a crash log
I think what it may have been was a faulty DisplayPort cable. I have tested it with HDMI on this monitor and I have gotten no crashes - so far. I will put a little more time into the game via HDMI and see if the problem happens again, and update. It is odd that, if it is, the cable has worked so long until now.
I am hoping it was just the cable, but with the hdmi, I haven’t had any crashes in days (Although, I have played the game much less). If the issue persists after getting a new cable or monitor I may update again.
twice today this happened to me, loading into a match, freezes, then my screen goes black with some visual artifacts then my PC proceeds to restart itself.
