Game Crashes on Exit 2

Issue Description (Required):

Technically this is a crash after quitting. When I quit the game, it doesn’t exit cleanly and crashes. This has been an issue I think since beta times. However, recently, the crashes are occasionally causing BSOD or reboot and sometimes causing my user_settings.config to get reset to default. I had previously just been dealing with it since it didn’t seem to have any bad side effects. I’ve attached the files from the most recent crash.

Things I’ve tried:

  • Verify Files
  • Fresh install of Win11 and AppData
  • Fresh NVidia Driver install
  • No Overlays (I just have Steam overlay if any)
  • Disabled Mods
  • Disabled RAM overclock

I can 100% reproduce by playing a match and then quitting once I return to the Morningstar. Just loading into the Morningstar without playing a match and then quitting seems to not be an issue but I haven’t tested extensively and I don’t do this normally.

Possibly useful other info: The game is installed on a separate SSD than my OS. I set my worker thread count to 15, down from the default assigned 29. But I haven’t tested any lower.

Hi Dizzy, this might be a bit beyond what we can directly troubleshoot, but could you check if there’s anything in your Windows Event Viewer (under Windows Logs → System) around the time the crash happens?

Any error or warning entries there might help narrow down whether this is a driver or system-level issue.
