Title says it all,
the Force Sword Alt Strike already brain bursts the target on Kill.
so why shouldn’t it act as a full brain burst and yield a Warp Charge on kill?

How about getting a warp charge whenever a psyker kills a elite or special enemy with any warp/psychic attack?
It would allow using a mundane sword like a dueling sword and a staff and still generate warp
Or a force sword and a lasgun.
Psyker needs options desperately, don’t force people to only use certain weapons and talents.
I doubt they will do that, there is two talents that give you brain burst charge already.
perhaps but only the Force Sword Alt Strike has the enemy head exploding as part of its animation, theirs no reason to not give a warp charge, as its alt fire special is called (Warp Charged)
why have it as just the Force sword and not other swords, well the force sword is a force weapon.
@AndiNagasaki I understand, but psyker desperately needs a reliable way of generating warp charges outside of brain burst.
At difficulty 4 or 5 you need 2 brain bursts for a dog and some enemies need as many as 4 brain bursts.
And thats without ignoring the fact that using brain burst 4x in a row means the horde is gonna hit you or your friends bc you’re not fighting them for a long time.
You already have one, it’s Psychic Communion
You either take that feat, or you don’t use warp stacks at all, that’s the issue
Hmm, actually, it may be a neat way to get burst charges, and better one that burst random head from time to time.

then my solution would be to add more force sword like weapons,
as i said its easy to use the force sword to brain burst and 1-2 hits will kill most specials and Elites on even heresy difficulty.
perhaps a unique Psyker Melee Blassing
on Elite / Special Melee kill, gain a warp charge?
