I wonder if the game would break if you could have a shield on your back while using 2 shields for some back protection. Probably would just be nutty bar silly (not that his in builts aren’t raising my brow before his skill tree even comes in). He has psyker crit chance and stamina regen delay (meaning you can’t ever get actually block broken because the stamina reset is less than this period lmao game oversight), Zealot stamina and HP with Veteran toughness. Did we need to drive sales that hard?
That’s encouraging, just like the map making had improved post-launch, gotta give credit where it’s due.
It means sensible tree revisions are possible but the ever looming threat of power creep (not the issue here apparently) is also there I suppose.
I think most ppl are chomping at the bit for looser blitz selections for Vet and Zealot too after newgryn and RBT.
exactly, it’s so obvious how blitz selection is free in the new trees, that means you can choose a blitz and then continue in whatever direction, while zealot’s and vet’s old style trees force the player to take a certain direction, severely limiting build variety.
I’m not a participant in the full veteran tree rework crowd, but Newgryn’s and Arbite’s trees are so neat and good. I know they could clean up Veteran’s tree nicely, cut up the overperforming must have nodes and move their effects into the Keystones, raise unnecessarily deep nodes to the top, and kill off all 9 million grey nodes wasting your talent points.
Very least the structure, some optimized paths will be it’s own power creep but in choice… and removing boring operative modifiers for more interesting passives and easier combos.
