I’m officially bowing out. This is a dump of what I had in the coffers for bumping the topic.
With the endless horde event currently going on, it’s clear that, at the absolute best, they are purposefully keeping gameplay locked away for their periodic, often unannounced events, continuing to play pretend with this “faux live service” model while neglecting what it actually takes to achieve it. Nothing less than a slap in the face.
There’s really just nothing left to say on the topic. It’s overwhelmingly clear what the players want.
@FatsharkQuickpaw
I just tested Indomitable Incursion out and… I love it. I love it a lot. Please keep this Modifier in Darktide, Fatshark.
It gives me back the feeling of ACTUAL skill expression that I’ve missed so much. I could count on ONE HAND the number of times within each individual Mission where I felt that I was being excessively overwhelmed by Enemies, and even then, all but one of those times thus far has ended in me triumphing over them by simply having enough skill to pull that of…
Maybe if we got solo mode. I think it defeats the purpose of events though. I think events hosting a new modifier before it gets thrown into rotation is fine. Just have the modifiers exist in all game modes… or let people pick the modifier, at least in the adventure mode. Expeditions and Havoc a bit different.
Lol the pack of hounds that get melted away even through walls with one Venting Shriek.
So many great past events with interesting modifiers yet this is the one that gets the most rotation.
+1
I dont even care about modifiers getting fixed or reworked at this point.
Can we just have more maps + modifiers available per week? I don’t think this is asking for a lot. If you’re not gonna update havoc rotations anymore, then at least let us have access to what you artificially locked out.
If you initially made a map rotation system, that’s fine but it genuinely seems like it’s been abandoned. Why even have the rotations anymore?
I’ll do you better. Make it a permanent modifier on auric board, along with Inferno and Moebian 21st.
With the changes coming in the patch notes slated for NextWeek , now would also be a perfect time to diversify the enemy types in regular missions.
For example:
Add them to the relevant spawn list like you did for Moebian 21st so they can turn up organically every match
Add the Rotten Armour modifier itself to missions & Maels
Re-run the event to see how it plays out
etc.
I don’t know about the rest of the community, but ignoring the entirely unnecessary god-awful purga…
First off - love the shotgunners and ragers event. It was fun. It was also great seeing more build diversity as people figured out that their stock standard thing wasn’t cutting it. Crusher became popular, so did flame staff and ogryn shield. Love the way it challenged build selection and created diversity, and forced you to adopt a new playstyle.
Second - skulls. This event has been great for encouraging squad cohesion, and I’ve found far far more players sticking together, especially when you…
Yeah, I’m having a lot of fun with this. I’d like to see this added as a Maelstrom modifier or something after the event ends.
First, I love this modifier conceptually. The RNG and no med stations makes things a lot more interesting, and pickup groups naturally stick together more and move at a higher pace (no need to search for loot) which is a really enjoyable change in terms of gameplay/mindset. I hope it gets added to Maelstrom and maybe Havoc pool of modifiers (or even the normal pool of modifiers!) and returns frequently, I really enjoy it.
Second, the implementation feels off in terms of challenge, as if the spa…
I just had such a great experience with the new event.
When I first saw that normal pickups were disabled, I honestly thought it was going to be annoying and maybe even boring. But after playing a couple of maps, I now cannot imagine going back to the normal system.
Instead of finding everything lying around the map, you earn resources through combat. Normal enemies can drop Plasteel and Diamantine, elites can drop stims, and bosses can drop ammo or health crates. This makes every fight feel m…
I especially love that the loot comes with kills. It has been so much nicer having teammates together instead of spread out looking for stuff. All these team talents are getting so much more use in solo que’d missions… I’m gonna be really sad when it’s over, I wish they would consider making this a permanent modifier.
this is what i hate about it. you dont feel like you earned it. it feels very scummy and goblin like, you just nab the ammo and grenades and health without telling anyone. i dont feel clean after healing like that.
Here, you eat what you kill. it feel more satisfying. The goblin can still take it, but he has to be near you to nab it on the spot, contributing to the kill in the process.
The voice is gone anyway, might as well get rid of the thing if you dont want the sad noises.
I hope fars…
I just finished the event and came to post the same thing.
I just love how more smooth the pacing felt, not having to check the same 50 nook and crannies for scraps, was so much more enjoyable and allowed me to focus on the best part of the game, the combat.
What I also noticed, is that people stayed and moved together almost all the time. I did the event in Auric with randoms each game, but the way everyone was sticking together felt like it was high rank havoc.
I want this type of dynamic l…
I agree with others that say this’d make a good modifier to keep on.
Some of these events should be added to the auric/maelstrom modifier rotation once the event ends.
I’ve played other events over the years where you can barely even tell anything has changed - but this one just hits different. You actually have to mind your resources, and it rewards careful gameplay. I’ve been checking teammates’ HP to see who I need to medstim, etc. Ammo drops feel precious. As someone who has played countless hours of this game, it’s awesome to see that small, low-cost design decisions can really make the game feel so fresh to play again. I wish they’d add Ransacked as an occasional Auric modifier.
It just feels right. Everybody stays together, no need to worry about checking any corners, you get a nice reward for saving the idiot who didn’t see the Demon Host and ran right into (hi hello that’s me)… I love it personally, I hope it stays permanently in some fashion
@MarxistDictator congrats, you won the revisiting modifier lottery.

where did you go, why did you have to be replaced by sniper fog/dogs
but I think the event is ok, have been wanting ‘vanguard’ for a while.
Why indeed, Micky, why indeed:
why does’t FatFish ever reuse the event game modes or just intergrate them into the game are they stupid?
Give me your best guesses for why Fatshark refuses to rotate out “Blight Spreads” from Havoc
FS: best I can do is the same map with slightly different modifiers twice in a row. But don’t worry, Mostly Melee will pop up after on the same map you played it on the last 3 times! Also we’ll guarantee you match with a Smyker for this modifier every time At least HISTG Auric can get pretty nuts now but letting event modifiers rot or get cycled into Havoc months later is such a waste of easy content.
Feel free to continue bumping, but I lack the focus and sheer will of someone like @Scipo0419 to continue talking at the FS brick wall.
