Add the New Infested Rotten Armour Enemies to the Normal Board

With the changes coming in the patch notes slated for NextWeek :trade_mark:, now would also be a perfect time to diversify the enemy types in regular missions.

For example:

  • Add them to the relevant spawn list like you did for Moebian 21st so they can turn up organically every match

  • Add the Rotten Armour modifier itself to missions & Maels

  • Re-run the event to see how it plays out

etc.

I don’t know about the rest of the community, but ignoring the entirely unnecessary god-awful purgatus buffs, I’m really looking forward to this patch, and outside of the Uncanny changes, the armour type change to infested for rotten is probably my favourite change and the one I’m most looking forward to overall (finally, something other than carapaceslop  )

Maybe Hadron will finally “lose” the STC for purgatus staves the patch after (:folded_hands:) but that’s beside the point here :joy:

Add the Twin bosses to Auric too

Not only that, but bring back “Terror in the Dark” as well.

More boss types, more modifiers, more diversity in moment-to-moment gameplay situations, more cool kark happening mission-to-mission in general…

Really crank that “no two missions are ever the same” sentiment.

Opinions like these will always have a seat by my fire.

Help me keep it burning instead of, or in addition to, making your own threads.

they shouldnt do this in my opinion because giving the moebian 21st this treatment completely neutered the enemies. they’re only cool and require different gameplay if they actually spawn in a full horde of moebian 21st. just placing a few of them into regular hordes sort of completely killed the appeal/point of having extra thick, slightly armored hordes

would be better if it was a modifier and it spawned a ton of em

No, please no…

I’m not advocating for just one or other, but both at the very least.

Personally, I actively want them to regularly show up outside of designated spawn waves to truly “mix” up with a horde, I want more reasons to run stuff like (in this case) “+% Damage to Infested”, etc., especially since rotten enemies specifically also have the built in damage resistance mechanic. That, plus the fact I’m also hopeful that at some point down the line we’ll see some more daemonic enemies taking their rightful places as dreg elites and specials like plaguebearers, and even (hesitantly hopeful; massively doubtful) things like plague drones/ rotflies (possibly moreso as a monstrosity/ miniboss) etc. on the more open maps like the Hourglass tileset and now of course in expeditions, which could also use the infested armour type (maybe unyielding in places like extra thick bone growths or whatever too) etc.

While I agree that the full-on waves can be cooler in general, using the 21st-type horde enemy spawns as the example, at the very least we end up with hordes that have more diversified profiles overall and how weapons interact with them, such as the different hitmasses, armour types, weakness etc., on an enemy-per-enemy basis in the hyperdense blob and how stuff like cleave profiles interact with said new mix; in the end it just increases the possibilities of hyperdense tomfoolery coming at you allowing for more dynamics

Yes, please yes…

:folded_hands:

Now that its finally accurate to its description ‘will bear an infested armor’ I want them to re run it at least. Heavy sword Zeal demands…

Like others have said, free the modifiers! I really would love if we could occasionally see enemy radio operators, the little shrines that heal enemies (and summon a boss when you attack them). All of those little things from events should occur just randomly, organically in missions! Even small patches of Tox Gas buttholes, honestly, as long as it wasn’t just a massive area like most of them.
