IT NO LONGER STUTTERS after the above changes in .config file.
To find .config, got to %AppData%, Roaming, Darktide, then find the user_settings.config and use right click, to Open With - choose Notepad.
DO IT, as FaRtShark has to be awarded the MEDAL OF INCOMPETENCE!
Talk about how to shoot yourself in the foot? Make a great game then make a buggy interface that can’t really allow the player to disable a faulty/poor engine (or too demanding) gimmick - ray tracing!
The amount of player frustration generated by the FPS drops has to be relevant, the bugs, the input lag from GPU stutter/ delayed response, makes the game UNPLAYABLE for many.
If I don’t have 90-140fps, I don’t enjoy! My coordination, reflexes get rusty!
RTX is ON all the time until you replace the .config items, even if you disable it in settings - because why not, they just advertise RTX 4080 in a twisted way - with an engine that barely functions properly on RT on latest gen 4080!
RTX 4080/90 - If I wanted to play a shooter to make nice youtube videos in 4K Ultra RTX ON DLSS 3.0 at a whopping 30-60fps, I’d not bother wasting my time posting about YOU, FatShark - A GREAT GAME, OVERALL, MY REGARDS - with accomplished jokers getting kickbacks from nVIDIA
Looking forward to edit RT on for RTX 6080 or 7080!
