At the end of the day it might be the game's dreadful fps performance why I'm going to move on

Instead of frames per second and general performance improvements, with every patch I see worse frames.

Pllayers with 3080s, 3090s and ironically 4090s complain about excessive fps drops, never mind people with average PC hardware which BTW Fatshark is RTX 3060.

I don’t understand how you totally ignored this aspect when designing your levels and pushing the graphics up fom VT2. Stop being NVIDIA salesman.

I also find it totally unacceptable, that you EXPECT us to enable FSR or DLSSs so we can maintain meager 60+ fps when not playing on 1440p or 4k resolutions.

as someone with an “average” pc, i have no problems at all, mostly 60fps with some dips here and there

For me I had lots of problems with the “outdoor,” top of spire maps, and vent purge maps. Turning ray tracing off and lowering shadow quality tremendously helped me, and before I quit I basically had no FPS problems. It’s possible that the new paych introduced new FPS problems, although I wouldn’t know since I haven’t played it.

In terms of performance the most obvious downgrade I saw was that, at the beginning of the missions (when the whole team walks to camera) only bots load properly. Player characters tend to either not be there or load one at the time (or not at all). That is new. Mis-sync of opening music happened before so I got used to it.

For me its bomber fire specifically. Used to be fine but now i dip from 60 to 10 frames sometimes.

i have a 8 Y/o processor and a second hand 2070. and i get 48-70 FPS when realy i sholdent, the fact is the game is extreamly well optimized and well ppl may be lieing about there setups to cope, I finde it vastly more likely that the complaints of prefomance are due to inept players running “Mcaffee AV” or crypto mining or like, google crome, somthing that will runing your CPU usge or eat up all available ram. I mean how many ppl think throwing money at there computer will fix things, without actually understanding the equipment or soft-where?

Average 60 fps with dips are NOT good frames for a PC game with FPS elements.

still better what people cry about

ive just played first game on patch 10. even after trying to disable rtx i have horrible perf. feels like half of frames is gone.

fire brings fps down to 30. seriously badly optimized game

I’ve an amd cpu from over 5 years ago, and a 2070 super. That’s long in the tooth now, though a good setup in its day.

I get a steady 60-70 fps at 1440p on the auto determined settings. I miss out on eye candy true, but it’s rock solid. Only oddity was of late seeing the voidstrike bubbles for the first time which I believe may be related to forced-on ray tracing - as seen in another thread.

But even so the only blips I get I know are instance related as a team buddy sees the same thing at the same time.

Well, there is your problem. On 1080p I used to run 130+ FPS on Morningstar and around 110-120 in game.
Now I run around 100 on Morningstar and around 90 in game. And those 90 can dip to 30 fps causing stutters, lags, etc.
Which is worst when you get downed/killed because the game dropped 50 frames and caused a lag and you were not able to block/dash.

Sorry for saying this but 60fps in 2023 for FPS is a console pleb standard. Anyone playing FPS for longer time or on any average/better computer will at least try to get 120.

its not a problem? call me pleb all you want, i don’t mind 60fps in a coop game, shooter or not.

people trying to make the game work on 4k come running to the forum that the performance is s*it, while im here having zero problems, and be totally spared by any of the crashes that occure to people simply for using X brand hardware.

how am i having the problem lol

Ehm, I didn’t. I said its a console pleb standard. Even consoles produced in past few years can run 120 frames.

And I didn’t say 4K. I said 1080p, which is full HD. If your PC game in 2022/2023 cannot run 120 frames in full HD, its like producing a racing car that cannot go faster than 80kmph.

People may don’t mind watching movies in 12 frames. Your problem is you are not watching a movie, you’re watching a slideshow.

And here is the difference:

EDIT: If you don’t mind running the game in 60fps, good for you. I believe this thread is for people that mind. And I bet people “who don’t mind 60” or who don’t mind “occasional drop to 30” are quite minority.

60fps min is not a problem. getting 30min when fight happens is. I hope next week there will be a hotfix for this amd regression…

? do i anywhere imply you did?

don’t know where you get that from? even in situations where sh*t goes haywire, like multiple flamers (friend and foe) it maybe drops to 50, that’s such a small Deviation that i really can’t comprehend how people with high end systems have this much trouble with their setups, in wich they complain about 50% loss sometimes more in FPS, not saying its unnoticeable, but compared to what people are experiencing its barely an issue.

Again, if you don’t mind substandard or FPS drops that you don’t notice due to your already “low” framerate good for you.

We Dont Care GIF

This post here is for people that do.

I’ve been getting a solid 60-80fps on 1440p with a 3070, but today on magistrati oubliette it tanked down to 25, teammates were complaining in chat about it too, I wasn’t the only one.
Lights and shadows were flickering, something has been weird this patch.

yeah, its the always on rtx bug. let me knkw if u manage to fix it. i have radeon rx6900xt and at 4k i cannot get stable 60fps now… how did this stuff passed any QA gate is mind-blowing

there is alternative build. gonna try it now.

results:

  • locking of main rendering thread while uploading models to gpu is still happening.
  • doing ingame perf test now (why there is no benchmark?!?!?): better than normal build but still stutter is there

correction, experimental build is miles ahead of release one.

im normaly a fps fetishist but there is a reason competitive shooters have more baren maps. its a pve game, its not gonna get you killed less it goes below 40fps. and its still far better then most AAA releases, i mena none mentions that when shitting on the games performance, how mutch better it is then any other fresh releases in the last two years…
