Seriously, can we please make the shop rotate weekly?
You already gave us three pages that cover the last three rotations. So why on earth do we still have to wait two weeks for “new” cosmetics?
Just make it weekly. There is absolutely no reason for the same stuff to sit there for this long. Anyone who wants to buy something will buy it. And if someone misses a rotation, guess what? There are still three pages of previous rotations available.
You have already solved half the problem. Just finish the job.
Or, and hear me out, you could do something similar to what Apex does.
Make every cosmetic permanently available for purchase at its individual item at full price through the character customization screen. Want a specific helmet? Buy it. Want just the chest piece from a set that hasn’t appeared in six months? Buy it.
Then keep the rotating shop for discounted bundles and special offers.
It makes sense for everyone:
-
Players who are patient can wait for their preferred cosmetics to appear in a discounted bundle.
-
Players who want a particular item right now can just buy it at full price.
-
The shop will be there basically for bundles and introducing NEW cosmetics.
-
Fatshark gets more opportunities to make money instead of hoping someone happens to be playing during the two weeks a particular cosmetic is available.
-
And we can finally stop pretending that artificially restricting access to digital clothing is somehow necessary.
Apex has used a version of this approach, and it makes far more sense to me. I cannot imagine the number of potential purchases Fatshark is missing simply because people cannot buy what they actually want, when they want it.
I mean, you are literally stopping people from giving you money. How does that make any sense?
But I understand that asking Fatshark to abandon artificial scarcity might be a little too ambitious.
So forget that second suggestion for now.
Just rotate the bloody shop weekly.
Please.
It is such a small change, and it would already make the shop considerably less annoying.
