I thought originally that my character respawning in the Mourningstar away from the normal spawn after missions was a bug, and a bad one at that because it made it significantly more annoying to get to the equipment shop, or Sire Melk’s Requisitorium. Looking through the internet, however, has told that for some reason this isn’t a bug but a “feature”. I’ve honestly hated every respawn here, and really hope this gets reverted.
I don’t agree. I like it when they make the Mourningstar feel a bit more… “real”, I suppose you could say.
We’ve still got a LONG way to go before it gets homey enough for my tastes, though ![]()
It’s closer to the crafting bench, the RNG store and the mission terminal. It’s way better than spawning way off in Narnia and having a 3 day trek by camel to get anywhere every time we load in.
Alternatively, get the hub hotkey mod and never worry about it again.
Hub hotkeys is way superceded by Psyk Ward (yes I will shill this at every opportunity until all PC players using mods have ascended to the plane of never going to the Morningstar ever). All of the NPCs have official-looking icons and their own tabs on the menu, and everything can be done from operative select. And the mod maker heard my prayers to the emperor and made it bring you back to operative select after games if you choose instead. Coupled with Always Ready you can make this into an optimized user experience.
