First Attack Only mod

I’m seeing an increase in the number of Psykers using the First Attack Only mod, specifically on Auric play (I’m not sure about other difficulties).

The mod basically does a macro before each swing, to quickly switch weapons. This lets someone rapidly perform the first attack, bypassing the sequential swings, and allows them to “lawnmow” through crowds. It looks kinda funny too.

I’m not sure if its intended? And I’d heard steps were taken to reduce the effectiveness of this particular exploit?

I’m curious if there is a clear answer on whether this mod is considered an “unfair advantage” or not? The people I saw doing it were doing it very rapidly, to the point the animation was nearly a blur.

Not sure how this would be the case.

The modder who made this mod, has taken it down from nexusmods, about 3 months ago (i also do not find it being accessible anywhere on the modder discord).
The modder had also “nerfed” the mod to a state where the mod no longer increased attackspeed, and just performed the first light attack at regular light attack chain-speed.

Of course it is possible, that people are getting an old version of this mod from somewhere else (or someone else remade it and uploaded it somewhere else).

I have only ever seen a single person doing this, but it is indeed a bit goofy and increases attackspeed beyond what should be possible.

The psykers were using the Obscurus force sword, I believe. And I should say “an increase” as in, I rarely saw it before today. And I saw some in a row today, so it made me take notice.

No idea if it’s related, but I saw a zealot with a power club (crusher wasn’t it?) charging and hitting quite a bit faster then I can, and was thinking there might be a trick to it.

Was this too fast to be a macro?

It would have to be since the one hand power mauls are unused. My Zealot pines for 1H hammer with a power up game. Anyway with this mod and input eating being so prevalent I don’t know. The guy who made it took it down iirc, so he probably didn’t think it added to the game.

Or he was of the opinion it would be overused and would cause fat shark to take action. It’s not totally impossible the guy who made the mod is the guy OP saw in action.

Keep the best toys for yourself as they say.

Lot of people really hate the irritation of having to turn your weapon ON over and over. If there’s a way to edit that and people can get it, it would be insanely popular.
