They have basically the same stats as a Krieg Watchmaster in the tabletop. No stretch at all. The biggest offender is still how intelligent ogryns are, the only stupid one is the one with the bone head implant?
So… Where’s the freaky and single Skitarii ladies at?

Sure, but the game doesn’t even agree with you on this point. You might be technically a part of the warband, but you are still seen as a worthless reject by your superiors that aren’t Chad Sergeant Morrow. All these thousands of missions never happened in canon. The rejects only did the missions in the campaigns, and they did each one only once.
Also, Skitarii are augmented to enhance their combat prowess, and you see in the post just how far they go with it. There’s no way you’re telling me a Veteran with years of experience is on the same level as a humanoid monstrosity that has been alive for hundreds of years and is practically manufactured for war. The only one to be able to kill this thing is an Ogryn or a Psyker. But Ogryns don’t have any battle IQ, and Psykers are Zeta level, so they can only go so far with their carnage before the Warp becomes too much to control.
If we keep going with adding more and more powerful classes to the game and the devs becoming more and more greedy, with us constantly condoning it, it will be only a matter of time before the devs break one of their core values and bring in something as big like the Space Marines. People already are saying “Add Sister’s of battle to Darktide” and they are literally seen as “female counterpart of Space Marines” by GW. Something like that will damage one of Darktide’s core values, aka. Being a game about regular humans (or at least as far as “regular” can get in 40k).
And if you immediately want to dismiss this as something that will never happen, just answer me this: How far are you willing to go in allowing the devs to add more and more powerfull classes before you draw the line saying “Okay, that’s too much”?
ye
Will we get an extra character slot with this update?
we are currently mortis operatives and a member of the inquisitorial warband
skitarii alpha primus as autonomous as they are wont be stronger than the basic units we have in our roster, the psyker lorewise is the strongest
and fatshark has already said a hard no to space marines in darktide

We’re not reject anymore, get over it already… By the Omnissiah…
That’s…REALLY stretching how long Skitarii tend to live and survive on the battlefield, by my estimation.
With ours being ‘Alpha Primus’ types they’re mostly unique by being independent operators.
Personally feel a Tech-Adept would’ve been more fitting overall given how Skitarii are somewhat tougher than Darktide’s general ‘power level’ but it’s not egregious.
Absolutely love that we’ll get to see this. Rare to see the true absolute brutality of the Mechanicus.
One is true, one is false. We are not Mortis Operatives; we can only undertake the training that one needs to do before becoming them. Unless someone bought the deluxe edition, of course, but that’s like saying, “My reject is wearing the Krieg armor that I got from completing penances, so that means that the actual Krieg soldiers are fighting alongside the rejects.”
You say that while again, Skitarii are literally augmented to be even better at fighting. It’s like Veteran with years of experience but on super drugs and encased in metal prison of a body.
They also said this and that and a bunch of other stuff that the game will and won’t have, only to not deliver on those promises. This statement can prove to be false, just like many other broken promises that FatShark has made and then slowly backtracked on as time passed.
Tell that to the game, as this is one of the last rewards you get after completing penances.
After all the other frames before it praising you and calling you a gift to humanity and how much you’re appreciated, you get this essentially telling you, “Screw you, you will always be seen as a low-life criminal by us, no matter what you do.”
The literal title of this frame is “Unforgiven,” and again it’s one of the last rewards you get in the penance rewards.
The description of it simply reads: “A reject with no hope.” It just hammers the point home.
You will never be forgiven for your crimes and will always be treated differently than an actual member of the Warband.
bros finding the lore in portrait frames now
bruh, you’re seriously taking some silly frame over the words of the devs?
Wut are you even talking about, pretty much almost everyone on the morning star calls us “heroes of atoma” and showers us with praises and stuff. And remember THIS IS 40K, you do not get a praise for anything unless you’re some bigshot worth sucking up to.
We’re handed weaponry that most guardsman would get executed for daring to even touch.
Its a freaking frame, in vermintide you get chaos themed frames, are you saying that saltspyre warrior priest is a nurgle spy? Just because we went to the chaos wastes?
most of the rejects have been sent in the Tancred Bastion even though they really didn’t commit any crimes, because you know you can also be wrongfully convicted. in think in fact when you choose your backstory in the crime section, it is also stuff you didn’t really commit / wasn’t a big deal.
but either way, after a gradual process of events, we gain the trust and respect from the higher ups and not seen as traitor. even though initially the inquisition was suspicious to us, it ends up in clearing that and being acolytes and perhaps one day even something more than that eventually.
cap… fatshark has been good at keeping the power scaling properly.
do you know there are sisters without power armor? they are called sisters novitiate which are aspirants to become an actual battle sister.
plus regarding skitarii, it is nowhere op as people think, just because they are robots doesn’t mean they are op, when you look in the 40k universe you would know that skitarii they are on par with veteran level.
the power level is absolutely fine
don’t worry theyll add The Emperor himself as the next playable class, theyll be able to grab every talent from all the current classes, have built in invincibility and unlimited ammo, and will insta kill any enemies that get within a 5 meter radius
power creep sells, and boy will it sell ![]()
i think he skipped the cutscenes
Words of the frame were on how they treat us, not what our power level is.
Cool, and do you think that the supposed “Heroes of Atoma” will be allowed to just be let free for doing such a good job fighting for Tertium? Hell no, we have no say in any of this, as with everything since we got canned for a crime that we may or may not have committed. We are even told in-game that “You do this and we’ll consider you a step closer to having earned your freedom,” but it’s all just a bunch of baloney that the frame that I showed points out. You will never be free, and you are doomed to fight until you die. Until then, the only people who will treat you right are the ones who are in the mud with you and know how it feels (who I forgot to mention before) and Big Daddy Morrow.
The same weaponry the game describes as junk that was salvaged from the battlefield since the supply situation is bad? Every weapon we use is supposed to be shoddy, used, or even broken. Power Swords should be able to be activated 24/7. The same goes for the Thunderhammer. But they aren’t because they are broken and used. If you want to argue that they are good quality because of their power in-game, then don’t, because balance in Darktide is still one of Darktide’s worst enemies in terms of how it affects the narrative.
The Ubersreik Five were not forced to do anything they did, unlike our rejects. They do not fit into the discussion.
