I saw a player name Col Jack O’neil and the rest is history
Fatshark if you were to make a Stargate or SG1 game it would fit in perfectly with this style of 4 player coop, L4D. In and Out missions massive variety in worlds and enemy types. Less restrictive games workshop and equal amount of sci fi and unhindered class variety.
Translated roles
Jack O’neil, Cameron Mitchel, John Shepard - shooter / leader
Samatha Carter, Jonas Quin, Rodney Mckay- Tech Priest
Daniel Jackson, Teyla - Psyker
Teal’C, Braytac, Ronan - Ogryn
Vala - Rouge
Janet - Medic
ect…

Would Stargate have much melee potential ?

That is a good point, very little close combat scenes mostly using staves as melee weapons.
I would think that a lack of melee combat would be a deal breaker regarding a Fat Shark tide game if DT and VT are anything to go by.

Yah my only second thought is they did move into a more range focus / hybrid in darktide… could go super range focus in Stargate, with minor melee elements… I know in the Atlantis series has a slightly more melee focus in Ronan and Teyla characters… while Teal’C and Jack O’neil mostly did it for stealth missions and fun boxing matches.
Early DT was more strategic movement through map taking out enemy ranges and pushing forward. Now its just spam every enemy all the time.

Fatshark would excess in 4 player coop and dialog portions though range focused would be a stretch for them… I think it would really highlight their VT2 parry, dodge and block systems with limited melee though.
