Fatshark WTF have u done to enemy spawns

I don’t know if it’s just me but this patch something is seriously wrong with spawns,
specials spawn like 3x as much as they used to before, it’s never just 1 bursters or flamer or sniper it’s 3 or 4 at a time followed by a conga line of all the other specials.

And don’t get me started on elites there’s so many of them they start pouring out of the WALLS.

2 things, in what world is it okay to spawn this many ragers and in what world is it okay that I can kill this many of them back to back, remember when 12 ragers were run ending?

Is this arms race ever going to end of Player power goes > enemy spawns go up > Player power goes up?

I don’t want to be a scoreboard andy but LOOK AT THIS HOW IS THIS NORMAL

Like sure I had fun being able to kill this many enemies but half way through I just went omfg is this sh*t ever going to end or what.

Now talking seriously.

Sometimes is like… this is never going to end?

"Am I here to kill 300 enemies, is that what I want to play?

My finger… is being tired… LOL.

WUUUHHH… finally… it finished."

There’s also random spawns from nowhere, I remember distinctly one part where we killed everything in the area, horde cue and suddenly behind me there’s 5 crushers that came from the ground for some reason.

embarrassing that fatshark think this is ok

If the game were more stable and not dropping my inputs/hit reg/giving me random damage with no feedback, I’d be inclined to actually enjoy these flucked up spawns at the moment.

What difficulty was this? 42 Ragers in one wave is ludicrous.

And them popping out of one of those tiny spawn doors:

DT is an arpg now.

Also i remind again about my prophecy, we are spiraling into a complete dogshit balance, and things not gonna change without fundamental reworks.

Enjoy the ride boyz.

I think I would come back if it went to being a mob based tide game, ammo limited, with “difficult” specials to beat. I remember the issue of clown-car specials being a complaint more than 2 years ago; that specials had become the new “mob” characters. Guess that trajectory has continued!

Remember when a 6 crusher pack was something you had one on your team specifically built to deal with?

This amount of elites can be attributed to enemies being dregs only or for the most part. When it’s this seeding it’s always ragers, heavy gunners, pox bomber’s and mutants. That’s what happens when there’s not enough enemy variety in roster. I never see this amount of scab ragers.

But specials really go to absurd numbers, 5 flamers of the same type at once is not rare, it’s almost average. Same goes for bombers, if game decided to spawn each bomber type, you better believe you will get 6 of them. Bursters in missions without their modifier or havoc sometimes spawn in nearly same amount as with modifier.

It was a havoc 40, but it seems to be the case in just Auric too.

And elites seem to just spawn around corners

Yeah I’ve noticed that in Auric, especially Specialists. There’s no end to them outside of the elevators.

After playing a few auric games today i can confirm the spawns are absolutely ridiculous, also my computer starts dying whenever the screen is bloated with elites. Game really feels like a arpg during those moments XDD.

It seems like sometimes, the director goes nuts and just spams 30-40 specials in a row, not an exaggerated number. The behavior seems new. There were always big waves of them, coordinated strikes or whatever, but spawning a steady stream of 30-40 is definitely something new and does not feel intended. It just feels weird when you hang out at a hallway and the game just sends 1 solid line of specials down it like a tower defense game.

That’s a surge

Yeah thats the existing behavior I was referring to. The solid stream of specials that goes on for minutes is definitely not something that happened before, it just feels actually broken. Doesn’t seem to happen in some games and might be tied to location or something. It happens a lot on the new map on the part where you first have to go indoors

Surges were not a thing before the patch introducing stims + rotten indeed.

Time based event with continuous stream of enemies that get replaced the moment they are killed.

You just have to wait it out.

Yes they were, they were added in season 2
