Huh, old age is catching up to me.
I’m talking about a literal actual stream of specials conga lining back to back out of a spawndoor ahead for minutes or until you move past. I’m fully aware the game has surges and I specified I know about them, I’m talking about something thats obviously broken and not surges
Weren’t “surges” only composed of Bulwarks tho?

When are surges triggered?
I always watch in awe of a hole in the ground of about 2 metre diameter but hundreds can climb out without any bottleneck. It’s almost as if the hole is upside down and gravity is letting them pour out.

Million dollar question. Also how are players supposed to differentiate betweem “Surges” and mixed horde events that conveniently also have Spec/Elite spam?
I guess just turtle up inside the nearest room that doesn’t have spawn doors anytime a horde event starts in Auric+.
RNG, for x number of seconds, spawn x number of unique specials, which when killed, spawn the same special as was killed.
