Issue Description:
Executor is supposed to stack weapon damage on repeated weakspot hits. However if you have soulblaze on any target while using the perk, the ticks of soulblaze cancel the stacks of Executor, making the perk worthless.
Steps to Reproduce:
Equip melee weapon with Executor
Equip ranged weapon or skill that applies soulblaze
Trigger soulblaze on any target
Use melee to get repeated weakspot hits. Note that your stacks get reset to 0 every time soulblaze ticks.
When this gets fixed, please do not remove the important synergy of dots (especially bleeds) with blessings that stack debuffs on enemies.
This synergy has worked since release, and has always been an interesting aspect of build crafting.
I wonder if the easier fix is to make perks like Executor read “Gain for X seconds on weakspot hits”. Would be a much easier change and avoid screwing up other builds.
Yes. Repeated weakspot hits are probably not the way to go.
Considering that enemies can be pushed by teammates, which would wreck your continuous weakspots.
I’m pretty sure Skullcrusher is the absolute worst explained blessing of all, and should just state ‘up to whatever % damage based on stagger strength’ like it actually works. Enemies do not take stacks of anything, since if they are hit the damage increase goes away instantly after that one buffed hit, and the amount of damage they take depends on the stagger animation. This is why I was saying Shovel was better than Club even before update, since you could get somewhere around 36% damage from just Skullcrusher on enemies punched to the floor, depending on enemy type.
