man i LOVE this damn thing but it makes me sad now that vet not only has a melee tree that is f*cking good but also now has full ACTUAL krieger gear but i cant run a full eviscerator and haveta stick wit the tiny boring cadia chain sword even tho i wanna relive that one cinematic of that one kreiger coring out a f’cking orks chest with a eviscerator…
I wanted to use the flamethrower with my Steel Legion set since forever…dunno why they pretend Zealot and Veteran NEED to have different weapons. they play way differently already.

i mean in past it woulda been pointless since there wasnt really ANY melee perks or traits or anything but srly, in many ways, a melee vet build still gets A LOT of range dmg boost and A METRIC F*CK TON of dmg mit with close quarters giving up to like 33% and tough giving 50% while above 75% nvm that with bad curious rn that only give a bonus 16% and 17% toughness respectively, i am getting 207 toughness so a full 5% perks plus 2 at like 20% to 21% means the toughness total you can get while providing the group passive ammo and grenade regen, corruption curing on med packs and grenades on ammo boxes, and 15% of all toughness you get also being given to all allies in coherency meaning they srly need to just let both use eachothers sh’t
The kill Team Trailer of 2021? That‘s actually a regular chainsword.
I personaly like that each class has it‘s specific weapons that make ist special.

imma give it a quick rewatch but more specifically, it was a 2 handed chain sword is what im talking about tho i do think, thinking back on it that it was the same handguard design as the eviscerator.
ok so yea the guard wasnt the eviscerators but the blade length WAS longer than the cadian chain sword. i guess really what i want is just a bigger cainsword that doesnt feel like im stuck using the base ripper from fallout XD

yeah, the chainswords in Darktide seem to be scaled down. The Chainsword is smaller than a normal one, and the eviscerator is also more akin to a heavy chainsword.
I wish the eviscerator was as big as Kruber’s executioner sword. Then it would be great.

In general as most weapons do have variants to cater to different tastes I find it a bit lacking that especially iconic weapons such as the chainsword or the eviscerator don’t have!
