I guess you only ‘listen to feedback’ and ‘hurt when your players are hurting’ when doing so doesn’t affect your skinner box ‘design intent’ of artificially inflating player retention numbers to increase micro-transaction spending, huh?
If before I had hope this game would improve in a few months time, now I realize that something is rotten at the core of the ‘design’ of this game and that it isn’t going to change any time soon.
Until this ‘design’ is changed, don’t expect your steam reviews to stop dipping. Frankly, you deserve them for selling a product designed to milk its customers out of more money by purposefully worsening their experience and abusing skinner box mobile game design. This is honestly just shameful treatment of your customers at this point.
Everybody complains about working in retail because some customers shout in your face, but I think Game developers distance to customers and the ability to completely decouple from customer interaction really does gaming a disservice.
Imagine if McDonald’s boldly advertised a new gruyère bacon burger with caramelised onion and brioche buns. But when customers buy the burger it’s plastic cheese, the onions are raw, the buns are normal bread and the bacon is missing entirely.
This crap Fatshark is pulling would not fly in many a proper industry.
So we find other avenues to express our dissatisfaction. Reviews, boycotts, bad word of mouth etc. They might think they can just tuck their heads in and weather the bad press, but I don’t think tanking your business will work out in the long run.
Exactly why the ongoing drop (currently at 63% mixed) is a very good thing. The game needs to almost die for them to actually start listen. I reckon they forgot about Winds of Magic.
How does this even work? I spent 50 Diamantine to upgrade my Eviscerator and it showed it going from Blue to Purple with an unseable “Red Lock” perk. Then I switched views, went back because I didn’t believe it and my weapon is blue again and doesn’t show the perk at all and they took my diamantine?
I think they’ve taken the feedback on board and fully intend to change it, after the rest of crafting has dropped lol. Hedge said effectively as much just before refining dropped.
