Constant Error Code 5002 after loading into game and clicking “start” after character selection screen

Upload Console Log:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide\console_logs
  4. Locate the console log that corresponds with the session in which the issue occurred, by looking at the timestamps in the log names
  5. Upload here

Upload darktide_launcher.log:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide
  4. Locate the darktide_launcher.log in this directory
  5. Upload here

FYI I understand 5002 has been reported as a “server down” status, likely for maintenance, but at this time there are still constant strike teams being sourced in the discord and no mention of server downtime anywhere from Fatshark or Darktide forums/discord. I just updated to the latest NVIDIA driver and then attempted to play after a fresh restart. I have tried for the last hour, am attempted a fresh reinstall now.

Turned out the game was attempting to use my internal GPU on my laptop. The game didn’t do this prior to last patch. I had to manually set Darktide from “auto” to my RTX2060
