Not true. I cannot control or avoid another player that wants to bug a game on purpose.
If it was a solo game, sure, it’s avoidable and controllable. But it’s with 3 other players, which you cannot control or avoid them from doing something. Even if we leave trolls out of it. Someone who jumps a bit sooner then his team, thinks “oshit i dropped too soon, let me throw up a barrel” just as he throws up a barrel his team drops down. voila, soft locked.
I can see what the issue is. Seems like you don’t. All you have been saying is that it’s low priority and that there are more pressing bugs to fix because “who is so stupid to throw a barrel up there”. I have literally been saying from the start that it doesnt matter how low the chance is to do it, or how “stupid” someone has to be. It should be fixed asap, Unless, see my quoted sentence.
Yes, and it is high priority. its in the list of all the high priority issues you just commented.
yes its not in there right now. But it’s up there among all those issues listed.
Then why are you even arguing? Fatshark is still a small company. I would rather they spend their time fixing more serious issues first. That’s all I was trying to say.
Thats literally what i said in like my first comment.
Feelsbadman, i thought you read them?
You are arguing its low priority, when its not. it’s among all those issues you just listed.
Low priority means issues such as: clients don’t hear certain voicelines.
Ok, you don’t read what i’m saying. guess my english is bad.
Not gonna try and tell why because this was your last response, i can though if you want me to repeat it all.
Don’t dash, preventable by the player.
Avoid those spots, preventable by the player
Don’t die, preventable by the player.
Look at them and see them sliding and then dodge. preventable by the player. some have situational awareness, some don’t.
block. Preventable by the player.
Let another teammate revive. Work around by the player.
Get good connection. Preventable by the player.
Fatshark should focus on more important issues. issues that are out of someone’s control because they are a small team and don’t have alot of time.
Yes i’m exaggerating alot. This is not what i believe, meant in an ironic way because i’m kinda triggered.
tbh lads there’s not much point in continuing to argue either way, it won’t impact whether or not FS elects to fix this issue which they’ve acknowledged at this point
I’ll go ahead and assume acknowledging it means it’ll get fixed but they’ll decide the priority internally regardless of what we say or think
It’s possible I missed something skimming through this thread, but I didn’t notice any mention of soft lock occurrences in weaves. This sort of thing happens pretty frequently in weaves, where you have to carry objectives halfway across the map. It’s not at all uncommon to throw a required item and have it land somewhere that it’s impossible to pick up again.
I actually agree that this particular Enchanter’s Lair soft lock shouldn’t really be a priority to fix. @anon75893681, you pointed out that one needs to consider not only the frequency of occurrence, but the severity of the problem when something does occur. But the other thing that also has to be considered is the dev time required to fix. If Fatshark could fix it trivially, I’d say it’s worth fixing, but if it’s going to be significant work, that does not seem justified for an issue that only happened once to a single player in 6 months. I mean, crash bugs occur more often than that.
I accept your apology and I do apologize since I couldn’t get my perspective across eloquently.
Even the most experienced coders at Microsoft with over 20+ years still have whoopsies when it comes to releasing broken Win10 updates. I was only trying to say that some things should be of more importance to fix due to being out of the player’s complete control.
I’m sure the developers at Fatshark are quite intelligent but they still don’t have the man power to fix multiple issues at the same time.
There are things that I would love to be fixed for this game like have all of the bugs, glitches, exploits fixed. To have all weapons/properties/traits to be equally viable on all difficulties. To have all talents to be better synergized with each other so you could have multiple builds and not just one or two. To have Weaves reworked in a way that opens the game mode to all players and not just a select few. To have deeds that let you choose what difficulty you want to play it on and give a reward based on that difficulty (instead of it being hard locked) without having to glitch it.
Most importantly, for Fatshark to continue to grow and be on their way to being a triple A company to continue making superb games.
I also would like to see new players join the community and for player retention to increase as this game is just as fun, if not more fun, as other co-op games.
Actually surprisingly many trolls and toxic behavior overall, considering 80%+ of my playtime was in private lobbies with people I know. When I started playing my first champion game I was flamed to hell for “not standing in correct spots” and “not helping the team”. People often kick you if they didn’t like the way you played at the end of the map, deed owners just leave if they didn’t feel like they want you to win. I’ve had people shooting me simply because they didn’t like the speed at which I reacted to pick them up. Everything I’ve described happened to me at least one time for the past month. For a PVE game that’s a lot.
Anyway, even if it isn’t as bad for other people, I hardly consider this an argument. I still believe this should be fixed. No point for this stuff to be left in the game. Not much to add up on this conversation, we’re borderline flooding.
I checked Horn of Magnus while I was playing it the other night and it’s the same thing, you can toss a barrel over the wall near the chest and it will lock that event too.
