i definitely would like to see it added , even if it just blocks shots and does chip damage.
i think ff would be a good way to rein in the current range spam meta , as well as getting people more ready for champ +

Friendly fire , The missing ranged balancing mechanic

I am making an assumption here and that is that the design vision for ranged weapons in this game is along these line Ranged is a powerful and versatile resource that is finite it is there to be used as the player deems but should be limited enough that a decision has to be made wisely to use or conserve.
