Efficient Weapon Repurposing: Lasguns

Dual/Paired wielding is what I’m waiting for the most.
Just need a small change to the cosmetic system for them (and for shielded weapons) and the VT2 system would be perfect.

Same family, new marks: (Legacy: Brace of Pistol)

  • Dual Revolver
  • Dual Bolt Pistol
  • Dual Las Pistol
  • Dual Auto Pistol

New families, but not models:

  • Catachan Sword and Dagger (Legacy: Elven Sword and Dagger)
  • Dual Catachan Swords (Legacy: Dual Elven Swords)
  • Dual Catachan Daggers (Legacy: Dual Elven Dagger)
  • (Ogryn) Club and Knife (Legacy: Kruber’s Sword and Mace)
  • Dual Chain Axes (Legacy: Dual Axes)
  • Chain Axe and Sword (Legacy: Axe and Falchion)

New families, new models:

  • Dual 1h Thunderhammers (Legacy: Dual Skullsplitters)

For the 2 dual/paired axe sets, I think the Chain ones would look better than either the Tactical or Combat ones.
And it’s iconic

Finally, I can be Starscream in Darktide!

That’s some Wolfenstein stuff right there and I respect the heck out of that.

I like it! Catachan-themed Dual Wields would be absolutely awesome for both Catachan cosplayers and old Kerillian mains. Iconic, even.

Heretics and Traitors both live in fear of the re-emergence of Double Bonks.

Agreed! Iconic 40K stuff is always best.

I mean yes, that was part of the plan

I just reread, saw that and then removed that part of my post! It would defs be VERY cool, though.

Another thing…

2-Handed Chainaxes based on Bardin’s Greataxe would also be pretty great.

•Crucis Mk II Thunder Hammer = Bardin/Kruber Greathammer.
•Sturndrang Mk III Heavy Chainaxe = Bardin Greataxe.

Tbh, I think that both 2h Hammer and 2h Axe from Bardin would match better with either the Ogryn, or if for normal humans as either Power Axes and Power hammers (Or 3rd THammer), or Force Axe and Force Hammer.

But not really with Chains. For the 2h Axe, I think the best weapon to look at would be the Elven Glaive

Crucis Mk II Thunder Hammer IS Bardin’s/Kruber’s Greathammer.

Why not just add a Chain Glaive to fill that role?

Going by this logic, any customer feedback incorporated into a product or service would constitute a potential lawsuit.

The truth is that anyone can file a lawsuit for anything at any time. The filing of a suit in and of itself is essentially an unlimited right in most functioning legal systems. I could file a lawsuit against everyone on this board for the mere act of existence. It’s then up to judges and lawyers to look at the filing, realize its absurd, respond by call it out as such in specific legal terms, and get the filing dismissed. If there’s genuinely no merit it usually goes no further than an initial hearing, assuming it even passes the basic steps to get heard in the first place.

If we’re talking about something for a videogame in almost any modern legal system, where it’s IP is owned wholly by the dev/publisher to begin with, the devs can take any idea anyone posts on a forum and incorporate it wholesale into their product without owing anyone anything unless there was an up-front understanding that they were asking for something from the users in exchange for crediting and compensation and then welched out of the deal, or if Fatshark did something like directly copy someone’s mod code into Darktide without attribution/compensation (as opposed to writing their own code to accomplish the same functionality).

you’re funny to me, because you think the courts will be smart and thoughtful about things and not simply assume the pest is right because he makes an passionate argument, which happens often enough and forces enough money to go into legal and not development when it happens it’s easier to just avoid it like a plague.

Mate stop, it’s not America.

Most of the world’s commercial law aren’t as asinine as to allow ridiculous lawsuits.

There is only 1 outside force that matter for DT. And it’s GW.

What ever we post here does not matter.

Also, in order to have standing even under American law, the people who made the thing would have to admit they read the forums for ideas.

This is actually why writers will tell you not to send them fanfic or other derivative works of their work.

As it stands, similarity is not enough standing, it would have to be proven that a specific idea was taken by Fatshark employees deliberately. And things like ‘variants of a weapon type’ aren’t specific enough for that to work.

Having actually interacted with legal systems in a professional capacity, no, nobody is going to win a lawsuit against a deveoper over a concept they put up on a forum for a videogame. In pretty much any EU or US court, the furthest any lawsuit is getting is an initial motion for dismissal by Fatshark/GW. There’s no situation where anyone would have a legal standing from the context we’re talking about here. Forum posters don’t have rights to the IP, and there’s no work/compensation exchange going on.

What you’re describing works if we’re talking something like small claims court and one side fails to appear or finds it easier to settle for $2k than spend $3k for their lawyer to fly out to the courthouse. If things worked as you’re imagining as any sort of routine matter of course and not as an expception, any customer feedback on any product or service would be subject to legal action, and that just isn’t the case.
