Because I’m sure that I am one of the top players. I don’t want other players who want to reach higher get crackdown by so-called balance update. If people wouldn’t continue challenging. That end game DT will be in a lifeless game environment. Just like the days before talent tree update and havoc update. I could hardly match players even in auric, much less maelstrom.
got any footage to enjoy?
I’m not sure if you can read chinese, but this is the game replay that I passed havoc 40 2.0 dual psyker last version.
I guess you understand me not clicking a Chinese link ![]()
by dual you mean duo?
It’s lifeless more so because of the sh_tty party finder than anything, and the game’s general lack of contents.
Yep. If you would kick it, you can realise I am a really top player with all-round game understanding.
You mostly play a class that doesn’t rely on these tools… but blame classes which are known to die from a couple of hits without them? Ogryn’s toughness regen in some builds is even better than Voice of Command, considering you can still perfect block overheads or stun huge crowds of enemies.
You didn’t even play Psyker or Vet in Havoc 40 previously to know what you’re talking about.
You’re a good player, but some self-awareness is in order here. You mostly played Havoc during the peak of Arbites and Ogryn classes, on these two classes.
If I’m wrong, link me the videos where you play Exe Stance Vet in Havoc or melee Psyker.
Bilibili is a popular Chinese youtube analogue. It’s a completely safe website.
Why don’t we urge FS go opening up N6, but keep ‘balancing‘ and make end game hard core player feeling worse.
you’re correct in me not playing those in havoc
my point is that if a game mode forces my hand and has hard-counter mechanics for artificial stuff it throws at you it aint about physical skill but meeting these requirements.
if I had a say there’d be no talents or blessings but enemies that require physical attributes to counter.
quake 40k style
take a guess why? I want to be independent from what others do.
given the unreliable nature of randoms I don’t take kindly on making them a key to my success
correction there, havoc 1.0 you had quite the waiting to get into a match as ogryn cause he was considered “weak”
still I cleared with the same specs and weaponry as the rest.
The balance that Darktide should aim for is one where, regardless of difficulty, whether Uprising, Auric, or Havoc, all builds can be used to some extent. Perfect balance is impossible, so it is inevitable that even in a reasonably balanced environment, there will be minor disparities, such as meta builds or underperforming weapons.
However, in the current Havoc, the distinction between usable and unusable options is very clear, black or white, 0 or 1.
For example, if the top four players all use the “winning formula” of Chorus, VoC, Bubble, Inferno, DS, Plasma, and Bolter, they could clear Havoc 40 without issues.
But if all four players are Veterans using ES, equipped with Devils Claw and Infantry Lasgun, their win rate would be nearly 0%.
When success fluctuates so drastically depending on specific weapons or builds, it is not purely a test of player skill, it is essentially a different game mode where you play with limited equipment or builds. I would not call this challenging gameplay.
I don’t mind if Havoc is explicitly designed as a mode where you fight only with restricted weapons or gear, but if that is the case, I would just want a difficulty above Auric HISTG to be created.
The biggest mistake fatshark ever did was deciding to use inflated enemy hp as a means to make havoc harder, as long as havoc has spongy enemies balance is impossible.
inb4 we go right back to two-tiered Aurics. Why A4 was removed I’ll never know.
