Does anyone here actually get super smooth consistent fps?

It helps to mention the resolution you play at and CPU model i7-what? Saying I7 alone is not helpful, there are many generations.

I have a 3080 as well, 5800x and 3440x1440p, and am certainly not "lucky my fps is usually around 30 " so either your observations are wrong or something else SW/HW is very wrong, or both.

i7 13700k
4080 rtx
32 gb
m2 ssd

240 hz oled corsair xeneon ( though even my buddy with a 4090 doesnt reach 240 fps so capped at 144)

usually stable at 144 fps capped
ragdolls at 15, everything above and i bite my ass not having bought an i9 right away.

dlss at quality

there are some strange cache issues were a map starts choppy for no reason whatsoever and after a few meters it “pops” and goes back to 144 fps with nothing different at the screen really.

seems like the map ain´t loaded properly up to this point or something.

i tended to keep more of an eye on the fps counter in the upper left corner than anything else, so apart from the latest map where i had fps counter off i can say 144 fps in 99% of a usual auric maelstrom match.

sure some spawn heaps and effects thrown into can cause a dip but thats about it.

ps:
ironically i was asked in one of my recent uploads what rig i use for it looks so “smooth”
the thing is, i don´t know darktide in any other condition, shortly after i tested it on my old 2080 rtx, at the time of beta/release, i bought a new rig.

I’m bit hardcore Asus 360hz monitor 1080p. Texture quality at high, everything to low/off.

More FPS means lowest input latency, even when FPS exceeds monitor refresh rate.

Funnily enough I have a monster rig, and had trouble with weird stutters even in valheim, that didn’t impact fps directly and i was so confused to what the hell was going on with all new parts I almost thought I got a faulty graphics card. Well as it turns out in one of the hardware components had a 1 year subscription of norton, that i unknowingly installed along and the abysmal gaming enhancing software they use wrecked any fluidity upon ridding myself of that filth i could experience the bliss…

yep that damn bloatware can be a bane of any gamer.

luckily you found out and got it fixed.

now if we dive down the modding-rabbit-hole that is fallout new vegas though… :face_with_spiral_eyes:

40 fps in fiend territory around camp mccarren and woe be upon ye if you installed lighting effects for glowing ghouls.
weeks passed since i found that mod-culprit for tanking my fps… weeks

ive been consistently one of those lucky MFs. I ran the game on a ryzen i5 3600 6 core and a 1660 Super on medium with average 50-60 FPS. I JUST upgraded to a 2070 and now do 100~112 on slightly better settings.

i can give you my settings & shader pack, we run close systems specs.

i play at smooth 90-120

a video for reference, top left it shows FPS

it helps to post my resolution ? how xD as i said this has nothing to do with my computer since the game was running smooth until the penance update… and i am not the only one who still has the issues and audio stuttering. also 5800 and 1920x1080 lowest settings fyi… I used to play on high settings be4 this hestia update… lowering it didnt gain me anything tbh it looks the same and lags the same. cant play anyways like this… i guess holiday month is more important now than the ignored ppl that still wait a half year for a hotfix that shouldve been done in 1 day of april… wish i could get my money back for this scam of a game

I like how people post their size of the screen but not resolution.
