Does 60 FPS cap add more stability?

I normally play on a 144Hz monitor with my framerate caps unlimited. I rarely crash, maybe once every like, five missions, which I had assumed was the fabled “memory leak” issue. However, I have been testing capping my frames at 60 FPS, and it “seems” a little more stable. I am worried that this might be placebo though. Has anyone else tested this out or experienced anything similar? It would be a shame if this was a requirement, as the game is much more responsive at higher framerates.

For some it seems to, but not for everyone. But who knows really… it’s all just anecdotal.

There’s a Beta branch to try if you haven’t yet: KNOWN ISSUE: Crashing at Random, Due to GPU-Related Errors - #369 by FatsharkPdr

Some config tweaking a dev mentioned: KNOWN ISSUE: Crashing at Random, Due to GPU-Related Errors - #1452 by FatsharkPdr

Personally, after deleting the config colder (the one in appdata) nearly all of my crashes have stopped. But I know some people have tried that and it didn’t seem to help.

it helps. If you have Uncapped and have frame drops it will be much more noticeable. I capped to 120. I have 144hZ aswell, but 120FPS is totally fine.
When i run uncapped i have ilike 200FPS, but sometimes it drops like 40Fps and u will see that.
Havent uncapped its since couple patches, have to try out again.
