Do something about Perfectionist

No other damage-oriented ability modifier comes with a cooldown increase, and it makes Invigorating Revelation less valuable when taking it. It used to be a meme, but now it’s just a dead meme and it should be reworked or something.

I get why for balancing but I agree it seems uncommon. Most go for ability up time.

It’s called Tactical Awareness. It is frankly shocking that TA hasn’t been nerfed together with Invocation of Death during the same hotfix which addressed the lack of cooldown on the Survivalist.

I think on principle the choice between more uptime and more damage is fine, it just needs to be balanced a bit differently. Maybe do it like shade where you get two stealth hits instead, or something like that. Having your single nuke be even bigger isn’t honestly that valuable, that way it’d make it a bit more versatile too.

I don’t think OP was talking about the vet talent at all, but I feel you 100%, this game needs to get rid of the ult spam stuff that scales hard with aurics. The aura on psyker too (the one that isn’t even an aura, but it’s a small passive node named “psykinetics aura” so you can have it ontop of your actual aura)

Ah, you are right! I confused it with vet’s Overwatch. Still the point stands, silly levels of cooldown reduction with Invocation of Death and Pious Cut-Throat is also a thing with zealot.

Especially when you hit that poxwalker instead of the bulwark.

I think I’ve found the only balance discussion in Darktide that I simply do not care one way or the other.

The only real use for perfectionist is reaching hammer onetap breakpoints for certain bosses on damnation. And given the frequency of bosses the cooldown increase isn’t that much of an issue.

If you really want to mitigate it, just go for the bottom talents that give you cooldown reduction on crits and backstab kills. If you pair that with a high crit weapon like a knife you have basically 100% ability uptime anyway, so you won’t even notice the cooldown increase.
