Dissipate some Peril from the Psyker when teammates kill their targeted enemy

I find it to be really un-fun when i’m targeting a tanky enemy in the back and a sharpshooter or someone else manages to pick it off instead of letting me kill it as the Psyker.

I’ve just spent like 3 seconds charging up my ability, unable to move much and unable to do anything else. Now my target is dead without any real contribution from me, and now i’ve got a bunch of peril buildup and nothing to show for it.

It just feels bad, like you’re punishing the Psyker for trying to play their class properly.

I think it would be nice if the peril that was generated in these cases was just dissipated to make up for the wasted time and effort, instead of punishing the Psyker with a bunch of peril buildup for something they have no control over. Remember, the Psyker just spent like 3 seconds trying to focus on that target, which is valuable time they could have spent with their primary weapon out instead.

And before someone tells me “well players aren’t supposed to kill the Psyker target if the Psyker has it under control”, yeah i know! It turns out a lot of people in this game don’t care about this rule of thumb though.

I feel you.

Especially when it’s not as simple as “don’t shoot psyker targets” since some enemies take multiple hits and we want them gone asap.
