Frankly the game is unplayable at higher difficulties a lot of the time, I get a crossplay player who doesn’t understand half the mechanics in an auric damnation and they just get roasted constantly, I can’t even run a prviate game cause you HAVE to have 2 people, please add a way to disable crossplay or at the very least let me run a private game alone, I would rather have 3 predictably terrible bots that can res/ rescue now and again than a lvl 130 psyker with 5 wounds and the turning speed of a semi
That rando description is chef’s kiss.
Large influx of them in A5 and maels lately.
less skilled people deserve to have fun too.
and tbh by the time you get to level 1k with a class you should be able to pull off a clutch in an auric
yeah, you really shouldn’t have to play with people. some people just don’t like people, others would rather take in the map at their own pace, some people don’t want to deal with noobs in malice-damnation, some people don’t want to deal with people going “STOP USING THAT WEAPON, IT’S BAD!!!” because they’re using a weapon that isn’t meta.
solo is something we need anyway and that was promised. a Swedish person can sue ObesePredator for false advertising because by Swedish law they did do false advertising via a developer answering questions about what was planned. the exact quote was something along the lines of “solo mode IS going to be added on release”, i don’t remember the exact wording, i’ll leave it here in an edit, but that isn’t the point. the point is that well fed water carnivore needs to add solo mode already because they said they would, i’m mad that they haven’t.
I want private games with bots for those penances locked behind private games. They’re the only ones I need for some master of war titles, and they’re rather trivial like malleus monstronum or just a flesh wound, but one needs people for this. Same for the plasma Trinket from mortis. As for crossplay, iirc consoles can disable it, just we on PC can’t, which is also stupid.
There are ways to (almost) guarantee playing solo with bots and no one joining you, without using mods and while still having progress registered for your penances… but it still won’t count as “private”.
on the other hand by now i came to appreciate them as free comedic assets.
1 or 2 of em are carryable most of the time, usually they sort themselves out after the 4th or 5th down and make room for whoever.
but 3 of em in the lobby on a bad day its a “nope” from me too.
can you turn somewhat fast with a controller, sure.
can the majority of controller users utilize that feature to the fullest of its mechanical potential, no way.
i mean sure you “can” plow a field like the amish but when there’s fully automatic machinery that gets the job done in a fraction of the time, i see no reason whatsoever to do so ![]()
I agree with that but why do they have to play in difficulties they can’t handle? I played the game a long time on malice and herasy before going to damnation and I stayed in regular damnation for quite a while before doing aurics untill I got better because I didn’t want to be a burden to other people they should do the same
this, if true level was a thing back then i guess i wasnt in damnation until 150-200 with my first char.
the idea of making a fool out of myself for biting more than i can chew was unbearable to say the least.0
if i participate in something i make sure i’m at my best or i dont participate at all.
sadly most people neither are ashamed of their unpreparedness for higher difficulties nor respect or value the time of others, yet force themselves into these very lobbies that are then essentially a waste of time for everyone.
even learning the basic map layouts of each takes longer than people need to level through malice
→ damnation.
what use is this baggage that doesnt even know where the essential parts of a map are ?
Same here.
You fail to carry a auric game, because of “crossplay players”, yet you ask for private solo games? Can you see an issue here?
Embrace the console players (well at least outside high Havoc) and carry those games. It’s like your private solo game mode.
because threat levels below auric are dead queue times take too long and not all the spots fill out all the time
same i have like 300 hours in malice alone but not everyone has the free time that i do and they still deserve to experience the game the way its meant to be played
Has it gotten that bad?
in off hours yeah its pretty bad. in normal hours you have to wait a bit and still some games still dont get filled.
i tried to play malice for the event and it took a while im sure its even worse in smaller servers.
Well in that case I don’t blame them
on east coast no long wait time unless you are playing 3-4 am est. when i am solo i do damnation . i am console and old man status. what i do notice is nobody using the voice system to teach or interact with the people that are doing questionable things. i get on mic and try to explain " don’t stand there" barrel or boss will knock you off. or if the are playing like pac-man or left for dead. One time i asked a person who could have left the other player down and pushed for elevator. This man threw his life away to try and get the zealot up. I asked why cause he definitely didn’t need to die too. " that’s my friend" people are irrational and common sense isn’t common
thats loyalty right there
thats because nowdays nobody has the balls to question his own action and admit a mistake or, god beware, lack of skill on his part.
if someone offers advice its rather an incentive for them to defensively snap back despite the fact they are the ones fking up and the evidence is right in their faces.
besides i usually dont have the time or nerves to write, carrying and clutching to see the match through takes priority for me.
peeps stay and watch (and maybe learn something from it) sometimes but the majority leaves at the first sight of a difficult situation.
thats my experience from over a 1000 matches, across all lvls or characters.
on my channel i offer full matches and builds for ogryn with loadout/explaination.
this way people actively ask about certain things.
free from the “heat of the moment” people are usually more open and relaxed anyways and give alot more thought to the cause end effect that led to certain situations in the first place.
but those are what ? <0.5% of the playerbase ?
Yeah, there’s definitely a point where you have to step into a higher difficulty to improve, and you’ll have a bad time until you do, but the difference between someone who is crushing Champion and transitioning to Legend and someone who can barely play Veteran but wants to play on Legend is drastic (using Vermintide difficulties because I’m more used to those, but the point stands)
i said before that people can play on an abacus for all i care. it’s annoying though if they insist on playing on difficulties they’re not fit for, and ruin the experience of others.
