Deathspitter and Fire Frenzy blessings not working correctly

Issue Description:
I noticed that my Columnus Mk II braced autogun, with Deathspitter and Fire Frenzy blessings, isn’t doing as well as in the Psykhanium (meat grinder, damnation difficulty) and decided to try it out in isolation.

After some mental gymnastics, I gave up and installed some mods to see as much info as possible (incl. all active buffs) and in normal missions (again damnation difficulty), those 2 blessings (Deathspitter and Fire Frenzy) don’t trigger at all or very rarely. I also tried it in melee range, instead of the 15~20 meters that are supposed to be considered close range, and still nothing.

It works fine in the Psykhanium.

Steps to Reproduce:
[Please add the steps that can help our QA department in reproducing the issue. For example:]

  1. Equip Columnus Mk II braced autogun, with Deathspitter and Fire Frenzy blessings (can’t say for any other weapons that have those blessings) as Veteran.
  2. Test it out in the Psykhanium, damnation difficulty, trigger range and damage.
  3. Test it out in a normal mission, damnation difficulty, trigger range and damage.

On the bottom left, you can see the buffs appearing on close range kill.

Upload Console Log:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide\console_logs
  4. Locate the console log that corresponds with the session in which the issue occurred, by looking at the timestamps in the log names
  5. Upload here

Upload darktide_launcher.log:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
