Dear FS:

Hi Fatshark!

Just wondering what difficulty level you balance around, and if you try to ensure that every weapon/mark/blessing is equally as useful.

Secondly, why do you keep releasing DLC classes that you can’t sell cosmetics for? Wouldn’t it be more profitable to make DLC classes that are generic enough that Games Workshop will let you sell cosmetics? Also… I like playing pretty pretty dress-up and I can’t do that with the DLC classes (Arbites especially). :frowning:

That’s it!

Love,
Sir Failsalot

The lack of DLC cosmetics has been a puzzling one. From what I can see, there’s really nothing that should be stopping FS from selling cosmetics for Arbites or Hive Scum from a GW perspective. The Adeptus Arbites exist across the Imperium in all its variation and have multiple different canon armor/uniform looks over the various editions (and sources like the old FFG RPG lines that FS appears to draw from for other classes) that could be referenced, and Hive Scum obviously have tons of material from almost every 40k edition and the entire Necromunda line to draw from. GW has okayed wholesale inventions just for Darktide cosmetics before, like Krieg psykers and Orgyn, so I’m not sure what issues would be preventing Arbitrator and Scum skins from GWs end.

I don’t know if there’s an issue with Adia Studio or weirdness going on at Fatshark internally, but it’s definitely strange that FS wouldn’t juice their new releases with saleable cosmetics.

Even if somehow Arbites were genuinely limited in this way, GW not wanting them to be represented differently from tabletop or something, there’s no reason for Hive Scum.

Hive Scum are arguably their own thing, gangs from the city the plot takes place in. There’s no tabletop gangs like this as far as I am aware and no lore for them preceding this game. There’s no conflict from Necromunda cause this isn’t that at all, they should have more creative freedom here. Either they choose not to, or GW is extremely obtuse here, which sort of fits them.

I just want penance tracker/havoc armor sets for the DLC classes. Like, any place (commissar, penances, etc.) that has things for base classes… should have an option for the DLC class.

Fatshark is following Dark Heresy, and they love money so it is really clear cut that they would have made cosmetics if they could.
