Dear Fatshark<3

I’ve just lost some number of minutes of my life which I can’t get back reading the healthbar mod thread. Summing it up: QQ on all sides.
I thought I’d compile a personal list of things that could be added to the game to help hold players attention; things people won’t (hopefully) fight about. Here we go!

-OK. First: nerf the vete-JUST KIDDING

-OK first–Capstone mission-- the overarching plot of the chaos invasion incidentally freeing us from prison, working our way up through the ranks, and then being caught in a web of intrigue as to who among us is a chaos worshiper… culminating in… a cut scene. How about instead of a cut scene we get a new mission type… or a single epic mission. VT1 had it’s capstone mission as well as VT2. We have a great core game with a simple plot which begs for chaos cultists to slam boarding craft into the side of our ship moments after weeding out the traitor… an epic survival battle on our own ship could ensue with multiple stages, scripted incursions from the the familiar faces you’ve shown us in previous cut-scenes heralding the start of a new phase, culminating in a fight with a nasty nurgle daemon… My ideas could be trash here, but something to put a bow on what we have is desperately needed to knit together a narrative out of these missions.

–Second, sub-classes. Sub classes make everyone happy! They give players more ways to play without adding new levels and weapons. C’mon shark, you can sell more premium cosmetics… I promise :cold_sweat:. Maybe even add the sub specializations to classes in a way which requires more leveling of an existing level 30 character… like another 15 levels with traits laden with tradeoffs that shoe horn players into a play style. It expands the amount of content where players are progressing linearly and not engaging with the casino style progression that is “end game”.

I’m not going to pretend I know exactly what it takes to make a game successful, but these are the things that left me and my friends scratching our heads: Story/capstone mission and absent sub specialties.

I’d love to hear back from other players with constructive ideas for fatshark to read and maybe mine for ideas. I’d love it even more if people could avoid arguing with each other instead of being constructive and crowding the post with fruitless debate over what is an opinion about a video games ideal direction haha. Y’know, add to the discussion and not try to subtract others additions lol.
