I believe that Veteran, Psyker and Zealot characters will see their trees reset. It is unfortunately necessary due to the extent of the changes and different layouts.

Maybe their numbers go down to accommodate the HP buff? I thought about it and that is the only possible scenario that makes sense. Make the ogryns bulkier to justify having less overlapping bulwark shields or waves of crusher overheads to dodge.

You could always use those on Vet and Ogryn, due to them having talents that buff revive/help speed, but yeah, small but good change. Although when it comes to help speed, which is basically unneting people from trapper, it only saves something like 1 second at most, since the base animation is already something like 2.5 seconds
1 sec for nets, 3 secs for any of the other assists.
Edit: I spent the weekend programming those numbers into a mod which is going to be utterly broken when this patch hits.
Ok, cooldowns nerfs across the board make me want go back to DT after 4 months skip. Hope it’s the first step towards DT will become action game again instead of spammy braindead mmoish thing.
Well, in any case, it’s not a balance update that fixes everything, but it’s somewhat reassuring to see that Fatshark is trying changes from various angles.
That’s why it’s so important to host testing servers for experienced players with 1000+ hours in the game who understand the mechanics of Darktide to get useful feedback, before releasing updates that dramatically affect balancing.
REALLY would have appreciated these details in more advance but better late than never I guess!! Haha!

All I can say is that I can’t find anyone playing MT in my area (and servers with a decent ping) (ZA and South Asia) with the Party Finder… Hence I stopped trying to play the mode ![]()

Mayyyyybe that’ll be the case, but I don’t see how Crusher is going to suddenly be more resistant to Dueling Sword or Branx Shock Maul without actual weapon nerfs. It’s just an extra swing or 2 for them, no big deal with their attack speed.
Like others said, it could likely be that “Meta” just becomes more frequent in PUGs and Director attempts to spam more Ogryn type enemies to compensate, making it a slog for players using weapons like Catachan Devil’s Claw, Thunder Hammers, etc.

IF they finally stop messing with trees (and these look really good so they might be able to) this…could work. I’ll freely admit that with players how they are buffing numbers all round might be more tenable rather than nerfing all round.
