looking at the highest difficulties and the amount of enemies we are facing, playing as a spacemarine would not feel wrong, but it just does not fit the vibe of the game in my opinion, so I agree.
Nothing screams “triggered Boomer” like whining about millenials people in their 40’s as if they were still naive young undergrads and not starting to pop out grandkids

There’s already more than enough for Space Marine fans. They already have far, far too much attention given to them, they don’t need even more. Other aspects of the setting finally get a bit of consideration for once, only for some to go “But what about Space Marines?!” everything should be for them and they need to show up every 5 minutes.
And multiple psykers isn’t lore breaking as you’re making out, Psyker Battle Squads are a thing.
Especially since the Great Awakening and all that.

It’s not like people really liked how much of a badass this regular human dude who could go toe to toe with warbosses and was respected by the biggest baddest warboss around. IT HAS TO BE ABOUT THE MAGIC SPACE FURRIES CHAPTER BECAUSE EVERYONE LOVES VIKING LARP AND SPACE MARINES OVER EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE SETTING.
yarrick was like 80, they shoulda ended that plotline a long time ago GW is bad at putting an end to stories. having the space wolves do it was at least one of the better choices of space marines to have handle it. better than any of the imperial fist’s successors limping in and just barracading all of armageddon.

I just wanna add on to this that i found a thread from 2010 outlining a few rules and strategies for creating a psyker squad as part of your army, and it involves far more than 4 psykers.
In fact one of darktide’s pre-release stories specifically mention groups of weaker psykers working in tandem, there is a lexicanum entry supporting this too.

I don’t think it can be, they seem to say all sorts of things that are just nonsensical rumours. 600 is the sort of age that would require extensive bionics and such, and I doubt he’s high ranking / important enough to get access to much in the way of rejuvenate treatments.
