I recommend running the Windows System File Checker in this situation.

I just did, they fixed some files (didnt mention the dll in question) and it didn’t help. I also tested without mods and same thing.

Hm, I understand you have an AMD GPU, but have you ever had a NVIDIA GPU in that same PC?

I have. I started with an intel system and a gtx 1070ti. Upgraded the mobo to am4 in feb 2022, and then got the 6950xt in feb 2023. I’ve ran DDU every time I’ve updated drivers, but I’m technically on the same “version” of windows since way back. Could a clean install or an upgrade to w11 be something?
No wait, I have done a clean install of windows, but that was when I got the am4, but still had the gtx.

Do you happen to have GeForce Experience still installed on your PC, or any remnants of it? Make sure it’s all wiped!

Yeah, I’ve used DDU probably five or six times from safemode since jan to update my drivers so I’m pretty sure thats been erased properly. I couldnt find anything related to geforce experience on my computer.

So the /sfc fixed some files, and crashes continued. But after I did a re-check of the game files through steam, it re-downloaded one file and now, after 3 hrs or so I haven’t had a single crash! Too bad steam didn’t tell me which file it fixed.

so /sfc and verify file integrity from steam seems like really good steps and good help.

Good to hear! Appreciate you letting us know.
