Crash on startup-due to easy anticheat

The game Crashes on startup, Seemingly due to easy anti-cheat- as when I run the game through the “darktide” application the game will actually start, rather than crash after using the launcher to start the game. Running the application as an admin didn’t help at all

Further information, The game also directly crashes when I try running “start protected game” so it definitely seems like its the anti-cheat crashing the game

Further updates, reinstalling, deleting the easy folder and revalidating, and turning off my firewall did not solve the problem.

Hi @Fuel_King,

Please ensure you have Anti-Virus and Firewall exceptions in place for Darktide.

It may also be worth trying a Selective Startup, which can help identify whether a background application is the cause of your crashes:

  1. Press the Windows key
  2. Type ‘msconfig’ and select ‘System Configuration’
  3. On the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Selective Startup’
  4. Deselect ‘Load startup Items’
  5. Reboot your PC
