Anyone got a fix for this horse crap? Game crashed to desktop on launch as soon as the cut scene kicks in…

I have done the following:

  • Deleted FatShark folder.
  • Reinstalled Nvidia.
  • Reconnected Sound.
  • Re-verified Game Files.

My machine is as follows:

  • Windows 11.
  • intel i9-12900k 12th Gen.
  • RTX 3090 FE.
  • DDR5 - 32GB @ 3800MHz.

Hi bro. Sadly I tried all them things and its a no go.

It worked for 1hour just then but when I left to download DLC cause I thought it was working fine its started to mess up again.

I simply crash to desktop everytime on the load in.

Sorry to hear this. Is a conventional crash report produced, that you could paste here?:

  1. Reproduce the crash
  2. A window should be displayed prompting you to enter what you were doing prior to the crash occurring
  3. Enter the requested information and press ‘Save’
  4. Another window containing a long ‘GUID’ string and an option to ‘Copy to Clipboard’ should be displayed
  5. Please click the ‘Copy to Clipboard’ button and paste it in here

Alternatively, if no crash report is displayed, please provide us with your most recent console logs and darktide_launcher.log . Both can be located in the Darktide AppData directory using the instructions below:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Darktide

As odd as this sounds, we wonder if this might be related to the ‘&’ in your Windows username. This is something we need to address if this is the case, but wondered if you’d be willing to try removing it to rule out whether or not it is indeed the culprit?
