Issue Description:
Crash on Launch attempt. Reinstalled all drivers, updated windwos, closed start up programs, changed directX version. Game worked fine 20 min prior, now will not launch.

Upload Console Log:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Vermintide 2\console_logs
  4. Locate the console log that corresponds with the session in which the issue occurred, by looking at the timestamps in the log names
  5. Upload here

Upload user_settings.config:

  1. Press the Windows key + R
  2. Enter %appdata% within the search input and select ‘OK’
  3. Navigate to AppData\Roaming\Fatshark\Vermintide 2
  4. Locate the user_settings.config in this directory
  5. Upload here

modded works, not modded does not

Hi @Revy,

As you can launch in Modded realm, this would suggest that the issue is Easy Anti-Cheat related, as EAC only applies to Official realm. Are any specific error messages displayed on-screen when the game crashes?

I recommend to try the following -

Install/Repair Easy Anti-Cheat:

  1. Navigate to: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\installers\EasyAntiCheat
  2. Run the EasyAntiCheat_Setup installer and proceed as instructed

Ensure that you have appropriate Anti-Virus and Firewall exceptions in place for both Vermintide 2 and Easy Anti-Cheat. You’ll need to add exceptions for the following:

  • vermintide2.exe in \Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Warhammer Vermintide 2\binaries
  • EasyAntiCheat.exe in \Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat

Interesting, it was an anitvirus program, that decided to block the game despite letting it run just fine the same day, I dont really understand what the issue was. Thanks for the advice here.
