Crafting and after Lv30 game play

After hitting Lv30 with all the characters, the only thing to hunt is penance.
And the blessing and crafting at the omnissiah shrine is lack luster to say the least.
I’m not a huge gamer but I have 70 ish 40K books under my belt, and in the lore all special weapons, trinkets etc, have a great story behind it.

My suggestion is.

  1. The weapon shop have one of all the weapons in stock in all the different mk patterns, they only have basic stats that’s random.
The shop refreshes with new stats on the weapons after each mission.

  2. All weapons have an “XP” bar that’s works just like your character, after a mission the weapon gains the xp and at lv1 you can if you want to, buy it 1 perk at the lowest level.
at lv4 one perk at the highest level.
at lv5 one perk at max and one lowest level.
And at lv16 you can max out all 2 perks and blessing, and at that point the weapon gets a unique name after the player and what enemy the weapon have compared tho others slayed the most of.
Like Vraks MK iii Nordmans rifle, slayer of bombers.

Then you can have multiple of weapons, curios you can grind, and get some type of journey with the weapon/item.

You know I’m actually surprised they don’t have XP for gear to become better. Hadron even says our stuff will be passed on etc.

THIS I would LOVE.

To elaborate, this would be flavourfull as well.
“This weapon killed some heretics.” = Small “blessing” from the Emperor/Omnisiah.
“This weapon killed MANY heretics.” = Large “blessing” from the Emperor/Omnisiah.
“This weapon has killed Horrors/Bosses.” = Specific “blessing” related to killing large enemies.
ETC…

“blessing” in this context meaning some sort of boon/blessing/perk/skill/stat/etc.

Some of that stuff will come with time as Fatshark starts adding more content to the present paid alpha.

What I find funny is that some of you guys seem to be so obssessed with gear, numbers and stats that you no longer seem to be able to get satisfaction from the actual gameplay. Also many penances are a joke. If you are actively trying to do them, I fear for your mental state.
