That’s all I’m saying.
I’m pretty sure you mean the other way around?
Being able to convert diamantine to plasteel, would effectively remove diamantine from the game.
There is nothing that costs only diamantine.
They should instead remove diamantine cost from consecration (plasteel only) and allow us to spend diamantine (but no plasteel) on
- lock removal
- learning blessings of choice
- upgrading weapon modifiers
yes LOL
That’s fine too but they can implement the same system as v2. We can convert at a cost.
Like i said, that would not make any sense in darktide, with the current crafting system.
In vermintide, the different colors of dust have different purposes.
In darktide right now, plasteel and diamantine have the same purpose. Every single thing that costs diamantine, also costs plasteel.
that’s also true.
Totally agree with you, but I’d prefer it be both rather than one or the other. Give Diamantine its own purpose, and then also let us be able to convert one to the other.
I would prefer separation of use as well as no conversion.
At least there should be no conversion of plasteel to diamantine.
Maybe a conversion of diamantine to plasteel would be fine, although i think barely anyone would convert their diamantine to the gambling currency, if the suggested changes to the crafting system were made.
If their use was separated as i suggested, plasteel would be a currency that you gamble away on consecration.
Diamantine would be exclusively spent on polishing items and getting exactly what you want.
In that case, gambling away your plasteel without getting what you want, would not be as much of an issue, because your diamantine reserves stay untouched. You just take the best item you got from gambling and then improve it with a diamantine investment.
If you could exchange plasteel for diamantine, all interactions with the rng system would still feel bad, because every time you spend plasteel, you will think “well i could have converted that to diamantine instead“.
I suppose I can understand that. It would depend on the numbers, because as it stands currently it sucks to sit on a ton of one resource and be starved for the other, which I think feels much worse than wasting some of it.
