for anyone else with this issue on pc who was unable to get the steam controller setting change to have any effect (using the big-picture mode fix listed previously) - the y-axis inversion toggle in the xbox accessories settings DID work for me. because all other games I’m playing have a y-axis setting that actually works, i just set up a second profile with the inverted y-axis.

since the inception of this game the invert axis setting has been janky. Everytime i logged in to play i have to reset it in game in options. im playing with an xbox controller.
with the latest update 1.1 the invert y axis setting just went to sh*t. I waited for 4 days for a fix… i got tired of missing out on the whole skulls promotion so i tried the big-screen fix today, and it seems to work. its just a bad experience having to find a work around for such an easy setting to work.
i played vermintide- which has never had a broken invert y axis setting this past week.
Why cant this just be fixed? How long has the game been out, and inverting y axis is still broken?

Oof, this is really bad. I’ve inverted Y on my controller every single time, for 200 gameplay hours since launch, and i’ve come to live with it. But now i can’t even do that. Hell, i even made a reddit post about it. Reddit!
Really hope this gets fixed soon so i can fire up the game again and get those sweet new cosmetics.

Have you tried either the Steam Bigscreen Mode workaround or the Xbox Accessories app workaround?
They are both detailed above.
It’s far from ideal, but it’s what works for now.
