Controller Aim Settings (TMR & Hall effect sticks)

Good tidings!

So I just thought I’d share my findings with using a PS5 dualsense controller with recently added TMR sticks, after hours of messing with the in-game stick settings. It will likely work the same with hall effect joysticks too as long as you can drop your deadzone all the way down to decimal values.
This has changed how I use my look settings a fair bit as it allows me to drop my deadzone way down, allowing full use of every bit of movement I can get so that it’s as close to mouse for me.
FOV sort of affects sensitivity as well but if you’re experienced, you may have already bumped that to the max lol.
This is also more personal preference as I like to nudge the stick a little to make fine adjustments but it’s what I believe to be the superior way of playing with controller

Here are my settings:

Acceleration:
On
———-
Response curve type:
Exponential (Melee & ranged)
———-
Response curve strength:
28% (Melee & ranged)
(Anything under 50% is ideal as more acceleration means the more you have to move the stick to reach top speed)
———-
Deadzone:
0.2
(The stick centre isn’t 100% perfect on my TMR modded controller but 0.2 is basically as close I can get to having complete control without minor drifting or noticeable deadzone)
———-
Horizontal sensitivity:
1.0 Melee
1.0 Ranged
1.0 ADS

———-
Vertical sensitivity:
0.7 Melee
0.7 Ranged
0.7 ADS

(Sensitivity for vertical movement is just a little less since vertical movement is used more for adjustments and it doesn’t benefit from the acceleration. 3 points under horizontal value feels just right for me personally)
((I also don’t see much benefit to having lower values for ADS since it feels just as good to aim with the same sensitivity in my case because I don’t think ADS is affected by acceleration))
———-
Anyway, to whoever has hall effect or TMR controllers on console (or PC) - maybe you’ll get some use out of this? Feel free to mess around to your own liking of course.

Thanks for reading!
