Contract reroll limit seems pointless and punishing!

Hi,

i doubt i will get an answer from the dev side still:

Why do you feel it is necesary to limit rerolls here?

First: It would be a nice (and the only) Ordo-Sink in the Game. Once you hit 30 considering the very low chance of ever finding an upgrade/craftable item in the shop make sthem super useless.

Second: the game is already rather grindy and the contracts range from ok to insane in that regard. It also seems like lvl 30 characters get extra punsihed here because we get the complexitiy “high” ones A LOT. This week all of my chars have 25 missions. Why cant i spend my ordos to get pleasant weekly missions? I don’t get it.

Third: Being scared of “low player retention” due to getting the gear they want too early seems misplaced. It isn’t like the items we can buy here are consistently good it is just another very welcome chance to grab an upgrade every now and then. One of only 3 options btw. Emp gifts, the shop and this.
Considering you do nerfs and buffs to weapons (which is good ofc) I’d very much try to get powerful versions of many different weapons. I won’t quit because i got 1 good melee and 1 good ranged weapon i promise!
and i have 4 chars… so yeah. the one reason i may stop is the insane grind with very low rewards…

So, just ignore it if you don’t like it. Well… the prices for the items are kinda high though. I need to complete 1 non-insane contracts in order to buy 1 expensive item. And so i’d like to finish my contracts with as many chars as possible.

I totally agree. The reroll cap compounds the issue with many contracts being very time-demanding and the 1000 currency bonus for full completion being so big compared to the single rewards.

It is a system disrespectful of player time, pretty much like mission and shop rotation.

Working as intended. You have to understand that Fatshark is going with the “minimal player input, zero player control” route with any and all progression mechanics, so this is perfectly in line with that design philosophy.

I used all my reroll to try to have a good contract, but last attempt i had the worst contract we can have : complete 6 secondaries objectives on a particular mission, with the random system to pop missions find this one with secondaries objectives and a difficulty 2/4 its just impossible (10h playing and find only one but failed …)
As i write this post i camp the mission board, since 1hour without doing anything but wait and still no delivery hall 2/4 with secondaries obj… so fun
I can’t imagine how casual players can complete this contract…

Please Fatshark remove these stupid contracts completely impossible with your system of mission rotation

Yeah man, these contracts are in the worst state atm, both in design and function, and not to mention the fact, that most of them are still broken, eg. contract kills / objectives not counting etc. For example the Kill missions, when you have to kill ranged / melee 500 and / or 1000 xyz enemies, and you check back after a few missions thinking that you’re almost done, then you check the counter and it says 35/1000 (that was the point where I just smashed on Alf-F4). The obviously broken contract system needs to be fixed, and these numbers are needs to be halved to say the least, and the contracts which are connected to a specific mission should be synced with the mission board, since many times you have to wait multiple rotations to get that mission (most of the time I just rerolled those contracts, since it was a waste of time). Most of the players, me included, are fully ignoring the contracts now, since it’s a chore, and broken af.

yeah when i have these contracts i just reroll them, but with reroll limit i can’t reroll this one …

after 2h i found one with difficulty 3 and 3 scriptures, found the 3 in the mission and success, result of the contract 1/6 :scream:
i think with 3 scriptures i will have 3/6 completed but no…
i must success 6 times this specific mission with good difficulty and secondaries objectives ! with the rotation mission in a week ??? are you serious ???

Most of the weeklies are not even worth doing, they are too time consuming and not realistic. I only get about half of them done.

Rework the weekly contract system, isnt there something like a drivers license for developing games?
Gruttin mistakes from 30 years ago left and right. Overhyped VT2-reskin of a game if I ever saw one

Ok, its furstrating BUT

Reroll cap is usefull if you see it a dev perspectiv.

You give poeple the chance to change 3 contract, but still no luck they got to do the content we made !

Be happy they still gave us the mean to do so.

(Also personaly i never found any good stuff in this shop)

I think the limit of rerolls was acknowledged as a bug…at least this is what I hope so:
