Content Drop - Rejects Unite + Patch #10

They should really use the power plunger to unclog their production pipeline or maybe to recover some of their reputation that’s also gone down the drain. [Not how plungers work but it’s 4AM and I’m tired].

Thank you, I was hoping you’d take notice of what the endless waves did to the flow of the run.

None of this has any meaning if there is still gonna be double low intensity maps.

@FatsharkCatfish Could we get an idea when the next Comm-link is coming following this patch please? I think a lot of us are more interested in a balance patch at this point to breathe some new life into the meta than the content from this patch (not that it’s not appreciated!). There’s been a lot of very constructive feedback in these forums about how to improve underperforming weapons, and it’d be nice to have an idea what we can expect coming next (balance changes or otherwise)!

Besides that I currently can’t launch the game, but that bug has been more than reported already. Unfortunately, I can’t provide meaningful feedback until then.

If the cosmetic prices are as high as are being reported though, that’s a shame. For unique cosmetics, that might be justifiable, but to have to finish ~50 Damnation missions without buying anything else to afford a single cosmetic set? It wouldn’t be so bad if dockets weren’t also required to engage with the crafting system in a meaningful way. I’d rather have good weapons than look slightly different.

Nice to see the counter for missions completed to unlock the new map was reduced to 900,000 from 1,500,000. Putting a map behind an event is still a bad call when I’d want to be playing the new map for the event, but at least we’ll get access to it sooner.

The new map is a blast :exploding_head:

Best mission so far, can’t wait to see the second one.

You mean the new mission that is not on the mission board? They have not released any new map.

Nice Patch, ignore all those break the locks and let us choese mission ppl, RNG is fine as it is now. You could give us the option to choose perks if the cost is down to zero tho.

Overall good job FS

So they just don’t update other tickets raised for this.

Nonetheless, it still is not a new map.

Try to restart the game, or check file integrity on Steam.

It’s an absolutely new map (which is surprising).

Its a new mission occurring on existing map. Not a new map.

Try it yourself and come back here again.

Truly another waste of my time checking updates hoping for something, anything to redeem this game. I really do love the combat and the setting, i adore the atmosphere and level design and even the cosmetics but you guys just keep on driving me and my friends away with these updates.

NOBODY CARES ABOUT ANY OF THIS. LISTEN TO YOUR COMMUNITY FOR GODS SAKE.

Share resources across characters or share weapons.
Remove the awful lock on crafting
Remove the RNG on gear
Remove the RNG on missions.

Is it really so hard to listen to your own community? Or are you guys so blinded by the success of Vermintide 2 that your going to just chug along and hope that everyone forgets and forgives over time and you can just keep on pumping out cash shop updates.

I can tell you that as much as I and my friends want to play the new maps we have decided not to because playing this update implies we support the continued path you are taking with this game.

I don’t understand how two teams can be so utterly different: Vermintide 2 is a superb title and you NAILED it and you listened to the community and shock-horror, this got you more sales and popularity and players.

V2 will have had FIVE new maps in the same time Darktide has had 3. Come on guys. Don’t let the finest 40k co-op game we’ve had in a long time sink because of this.

what a pointless patch.
More reskins with a much higher pricetag and a manipulation attempt of drifting over to the paid shop instead. Feels like the whole thing is a desperate attempt at trying to justify the paid shop again by shifting our attention towards something else.

an event with reskin rewards and a “winnable” mission as the kicker… really? what if we fail? do you take that mission away? The “event” doesn’t even seem to have a time limit? so it’s just a grinding goal and not an actual event. So we can’t fail… great! that’s a fun “event”. It’s just a multiplayer penance then?..
why even have the “event”? you could’ve simply just held the second mission for a mid/end of june release and made it seem like you’re actually doing stuff.
you know, why not have an event with actual weight? how about a time limit with a reward that actually matters, like say a bundle of Aquilas? or a branching resolution where the mission ends with a boss fight with a time limit, kill him before the time runs out or he escapes… this doesn’t fail the mission, but the event tracks amount of boss kills, if you get enough you actually kill him, otherwise he escapes and you’ve created a nemesis that players will hate and wanna catch… wow… story/narrative!! that would’ve been nice to have…

no weapon changes to actually make more weapons useful or breaking locks so we can actually start crafting without constantly wasting our time and resources… great thanks, wouldn’t wanna improve gameplay…

no monster changes, sure the poxpouches were adjusted but the issue with them is that you cannot dodge them anymore. they are broken and fly all over the place yet again, the only way to dodge them is to dodge BEFORE their tell to dodge… that’s stupid… why isn’t that fixed? they were perfectly fine before you “fixed” them.

All the monster changes since pre-easter has made the game more tedious and pushed/forced everyone into Heresy, even if they aren’t strong enough for it. This is has to be addressed and is a lot more important than your paid shops and missions. You need to increase crafting drops for malice to allow people to pick a difficulty they enjoy and not force them into grinding failure heresy/damnation which is more time effective than succeeding in malice.
you should also make diamatine have a use. People don’t even pick them up in missions anymore because we don’t need it. Simply add a way to exchange them into Credits or Plasteel. Make them worth getting.

The importance of Crafting resources above all else has also made condition mission almost pointless. There used to be a reason to go down to malice or heresy for a hi-intens/shock troop mix or any other variant, but with the low amount of crafting it simply isn’t, it’s just a waste of time. Conditions should scale crafting drops as well as exp/money, since for some of them it’s actually a risk trying to get crafting as well. which means most only collect about half the resources, making the condition missions much worse missions to play.

Imo this patch simply points to one simple truth. Make the game free-to-play, it’s clearly a f2p designed game. just refund us and drop the ferryman’s fee. At least than we’d all stop complaining as much… sure the game would still be a hugely missed opportunity, but at least it would’ve been free.
